Review summary

Overall the cruise was fine but not up to our expectations as it generally didn't have a lot of things to do the peaked our interest. We only found one show that we thought was really good. The food was ok. The room service for morning breakfast was fantastic because of the convenience of it, although they made a mistake with our order more than once. In general this was an ok cruise, but if it were the only one I had ever been on, I wouldn't ever have interest in going on another cruise because it simply was kind of boring.

MDR was good, Windjammer was OK at best, food was hard/stale sometimes, long lines and crowds. Cafe Promenade pizza was good, ate it many times. Jamie's Itailian was excellent.

The Ice Show is wonderful, saw it twice. We saw 2 other shows which were the comedian at embarkation and final sail day - that was only ok. The cruise director had low energy and that atmosphere was pretty much how it felt the entire cruise. We looked for things to do, but were bored on several occasions. And we are not party people.

The steward did a fantastic job, the room was clean and well kept and the balcony was very nice. There was some wear and tear in the cabinetry in the bathroom that made the room look like it could use a little bit of refreshing. Also, the beds were too firm and were uncomfortable. Good thing we brought our own mattress toppers because they saved the day.

Ship tip

Be sure to see the ice show, that's not something we would normally EVER do, but we did it based on lots of recommendations and they were right. It is the BEST show on that ship.
