Review summary

With cruising on the mariner, exactly one year ago, I expected a little bit something more because of the shifting and dry dock. But it does not appear that dry dock. Did anything to the public areas of the ship actually the public areas look kind of beat up. Still, it’s a Cruise vacation and it was good.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

The menu change was really a bad idea, service was really great

Onboard Activities

Pools were good. Storm water slides were good. Royal took skypad away and forgot to take the name off the ship, really bad look , especially since my daughter was looking forward to it, and we were on the ship exactly a year ago 😟

Entertainment

Studio B skating was outstanding!!! The show was ten times better than the music shows.

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

Dining room staff are very good, the whole service team was the best

Ship Quality

Last year the ship was ok, but I expected something a little more put together since the ship was in dry dock. I didn’t see anything that was an upgrade from the public areas and the room hvac was just bad. I would wake up sweating and have to trick the thermostat to turn on 😟

Cabin / Stateroom

It ok

Ship tip

You should expect an overhaul good cruise. Really go over the menu for the whole trip, the menu changes might change your mind on going to the windjammer for dinner. The food was better on certain nights

Disembarkation

I was on the anthem in January and the disembarking was so much better than the mariner of the seas. We had to walk through the dining room to get off the boat and they didn’t even call our number to leave

Appreciate your details. Sorry a year and dry dock didn’t seem to improve the ship.
