Review summary

This is a cruise that seems popular with locals. There were a lot of families on board as well. The entertainment was not our favorite, but if you haven't sailed a lot you may enjoy it. It's an older ship, so be sure to bring a power strip if you need more than one plug.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
They tried to keep the lines moving along. It's definitely better having your Sea Pass cards waiting at your room now.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The meats were tough. However, the desserts are much improved over past cruises.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
There wasn't much to do if you are an adult. The usual trivia. That's about it. A lot of activities that you might consider were overrun by unsupervised children the weekend we sailed.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
The nighttime entertainment was 'meh.' It was disappointing to see that the one big show they had was one that we had seen on another ship and weren't impressed with. The voices of the entertainers weren't strong enough to pull off the songs they attempted most nights. The booked entertainment was variable. They really need to refreshen things up. This was our first sailing since before the pandemic and it was too much the same. For even semi-frequent cruisers, you may get bored.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Most staff tries very hard to do a good job. I wish they weren't so anxious about their ratings though. It can be off-putting.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
This was a quick, no frills getaway to level up our status before a longer trip. This was by far the smallest cabin we've ever had. It was fine for what it is, a place to sleep. It only has 2 power outlets, so plan accordingly.

Ship tip

Bring a power strip!

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
We have been here before, so we just wandered around, swam off the pier and relaxed at a local bar/restraurant.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
The lines seemed unnecessarily long compared to boarding.
