Review summary

Would recommend. Older ship but good moderate size and some nice fun ship updates. 4-5 days is ideal length to me for a non mega ship. Never got bored and really enjoyed the classic cruising experience. We were blessed with amazing weather and since we changed itinerary we circled slowly and had such smooth sailing.

Embarkation

Very smooth embarkation. 1130am check in time. Easily reached the ship and got to the buffet

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Only 1 night at dining room. Kind of plain and boring. Cancelled chops grill lunch because we couldn’t drop kids at adventure ocean at time of available reservation. We loved windjammer buffet. Easier with young kids and we can go at our pace. Good variety and selection. Fresh.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We did the bungee trampoline and enjoyed it. The kids enjoyed the climbing chips area.

Entertainment

Only saw part of a nice juggling act.

Children's Programs

8 year old and 7 year old kept begging to go back to see mr dino, Ms bananas, and Ms sprinkles at adventure ocean. They absolutely could not get enough of it

Service and Staff

Friendly and professional

Ship Quality

One splitting hairs complaint was they never had soap in the public restroom near the Royal tots. Not major but you would expect a daily refill. All common areas were kept immaculate

Cabin / Stateroom

Love the HUGE layout. It had 5 separate areas and even though it isn’t classified a suite, it’s a suite. 4 big windows overlooking the front of the ship. Great views. Carpet old and needs updating. Was starting to peel up under vanity in main bedroom. Very clean and comfortable with lots of space. Separate door and room with bunk beds, storage closet, large bench and window. Walk into room with sofa/futon and another window. TV and cabinet with more storage. 2 chairs and an ottoman. Next room was outside bathroom and had big closet and a 3rd window. Bathroom with glass shower door and tight but adequate. Door that led into main bedroom with a 4th window, vanity, and large closet with ample shelving. Mirror that allowed you to see reflection of water. 2nd TV and cabinet with storage. We had 5 of us and always felt like we had plenty of room

Ship tip

Avoid peak times for buffet and find plenty of seating and space.

Disembarkation

Carried our own bags because I was in a hurry to get to the next hotel and watch a football game. Easy off and on the road.
