Review summary

Overall this was a great cruise. Everything was very clean and the service was excellent. Buffet should be more controlled by cruise staff serving.

Embarkation

We were on the ship within 20 minutes of entering the cruise terminal. Many people directing traffic to make sure that the process was efficient.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Best food that we had on a cruise. The food in the Italian restaurant was flavored perfectly. The Lobster Tails that we ordered in the main dining room were excellent and large portions that can be shared by two people. Even the room service salmon and asparagus were really good. My only complaint is that the lines were too long for My Time Dining. They should have a system where you check in using the app from your room and they notify you through the app how long of a wait and when your table is ready.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Solarium was way too crowded and there were some small kids in there. Hard to find a seat on the pool deck. Did not like all of the smoking in the casino. You couldn't really enjoy it. Even on the "non-smoking" side the smell of smoke was heavy. Should have a smoking room where smokers can step away from the slot machines if they need to smoke. Why subject us all to 2nd hand smoke?

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Shows were decent but could have been a little better. Singing and dancing before the Juggler seemed out of place. The juggler was excellent and funny. The show where the guy was in the art gallery was a good concept, but they need to add more newer up to date music.

Children's Programs

Only adults traveling.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
In the main dining room, Nestor and Luis were excellent. They were attentive and remembered our drink orders. We had my time dining and the Maitre'd went out of his way to get us one of our two preferred tables even during breakfast when that area was supposed to be closed. Hugh our cabin steward went out of his way to make sure that our room was clean and that we had everything that we needed. Extra pillow toppers and extra towels. Excellent service.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was just as good as the larger ships and the crew was constantly cleaning everything.

Cabin / Stateroom

Spacious oceanview balcony felt like a Junior suite.

Ship tip

Worth tipping Extra.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida Did not visit port

Not enough time before or after flights.

Cozumel, Mexico

We went on the Grand Beach Break at Playa Mia. This was a really good excursion with plenty of beach chairs. Only $10 to rent umbrella. People serving food in restaurant were wearing gloves. Many activities or do nothing at all. Bathroom was clean.

Disembarkation

This was the worst part of the cruise. Hundreds of people walking through the dining room to get to the exit ramp area.
