Review summary

Labadee needs more upgrading. The lack of freshwater washing makes playing in saltwater a nuisance in the heat. I hate drying in a salty suit. Makes my skin burn and itch. The food was lousy, with little variety. Haitian locals will beg you to see their shops, reminiscent of going to Carib cities in general. They actually have security, some with sidearms, watching the tourists for their safety. It is very scenic and makes a good impression overall. Unless you pay extra, the really fun stuff (ziplining over the water) is “display only”. Needs to add more showers/footwash and better food at a minimum. CoCO Cay is the best island experience I have ever had. I am 71 years old and very well travelled. They hit it out of the park with this one. Great EVERYTHING! Please add a convenience footwash where the dock starts so I don’t bring sand aboard. We had to use the kiddee splash park in an awkward fashion to get the sand off. Everyone else copycatted and trashed the small area with lots of sand. Don’t they notice this stuff? They nailed everything else! Please upgrade. It was fantastic! Truly “perfect day”.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
No masks, easy Covid document check, easy check-in.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Wonderful variety at both Main Dining and buffets. A little crowded at times, but you won’t starve! P.S. Mediocre coffee, no ketchup at breakfast. BYO p-nuts, cashews.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Not much for free. The cool stuff all costs extra ( flowrider, slide tubes)

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The Ice show was first class, the individual club Musicians were a mixed bag. Some were quite good, others tone deaf.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
These hard working folk always had a smile to share. Pleasant to be with!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The interior Promenade was very well decorated. Extra fancy!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We got the cheapest, so of course it was small. Only slept and showered there.

Ship tip

BYO two bottles of wine, snacks, ketchup, hot sauce, Starbucks instant coffee to punch up their tasteless swill.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

5 out of 5
Well laid out, easy shuttle from our parking in Cocoa. Easy baggage transfer both ways.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
Everyone will find fun here. Hiking trails, beaches, plenty of beauty. Missing: freshwater showers, footwash were very hard to find and lousy (hold the button for water. No ice for drinks. Really mediocre food (how can you ruin a chicken leg?). Needs more convenience infrastructure to get it up to snuff.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
Best island experience EVER. They have it all. Great big freshwater pool, bars everywhere, Xlnt food with variety and flavor! Ice for your drinks, and real ice cream! Good showers conveniently located. EXCEPT no footwash as you walk back to the ship. HUH? Bring your sand aboard! Would return in a heartbeat.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Smooth and easy. You just line up for a photo and you sail thru customs. Did not even pull out my passport.

Great review however flowrider and slide tubes are free unless you want the private lessons. Sounds like overall you had a great cruise. Glad you enjoyed it
