We had a relaxing 4 night cruise and enjoyed the Mariner of the Seas. The ship is not too big and not too small.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We were dropped off at 10:15 with an 11am boarding time. We stayed at Country Inn and Suites and used their park, stay and cruise package(highly recommend) We were seated inside the terminal and at 11 am they started boarding. We were required to wear masks inside the terminal only. Once on the ship we did not have to wear them again. We were on the ship by 11:15 Very smooth boarding process .
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Lunch at Jaime's on embarcation day. Food and service very good.
We had early dinner seating at 5:30 and our food was good to very good and our service staff were excellent. We were seated in MDR deck 4 at a table for 2
We had breakfast in the MDR 2 mornings and breakfast at the Windjammer once and Cafe Promenade once. Food and service were good at these venues
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Lots offered but we did not do any of the activities
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Great ice show and headliner show.
We personally did not enjoy the production shows because we did not care for the singers.
However the audience on the whole seemed to enjoy them.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone went the extra mile to be helpful. Service was wonderful.
The cruise director was fun.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Well maintained older ship
We had no issues
Lots of hand washing and hand sanitation areas everywhere
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Cabin was at the very front of the ship starboard side. It had an unusual shape because it is somewhat curved around. There were 2 very large porthole windows so we had a wonderful view of the Helipad and if view of ocean from front to the side
Lots of storage. Mini fridge, safe, small TV, small couch. Bedside table on both sides of the bed.
Bathroom very small with adequate storage
Lots of movement at the front of the ship so I would not recommend for anyone with motion sickness it's if walking required to get to most places.
Ship tip
Have a great cruise. Be patient and kind as everyone, everywhere is going through staffing shortages. Find your way to the Helipad and the peek a boo bridge.
Easy port for cruising especially if you drive.
We always go to the Cove for dinner and eat at Grills where you can watch cruise ships leave.
Always fun with good food.
We came in a day early and stayed at the Country Inn and Suites which I highly recommend
We personally like Nassau and always find something to do.
Once the construction is completed the port area will be much improved.
This cruise we did the Nassau Harbor Cruise on a catamaran.
