Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main dining was a wonderful treat. Food was excellent and service was amazing. The staff were top notch and very personable! We had dinner there every night, lunch once, and breakfast twice. We only ate at the buffet for breakfast and it was EXTREMELY busy and loud. If you are traveling without kids, I would recommend the dining room for all your meals. Did not drink any alcohol.

Onboard Activities

Mostly hung out and watched the ocean, was lazy! Watch the shows and all celebrations put on for the guests. The pool area was way too loud with all the music. We chose the solarium for adults only. Much better but seats got taken fast!

Entertainment

Excellent shows with a very comfortable auditorium! The ice skating show was an incredible performance (esp on a ship!) We met a wonderful person, Clifford Tracy, who not only had dinner at our table daily, but played a mean saxophone in several performances!

Service and Staff

This is really hard to remember everyone's name! Our daily dinner servers (Iketut and Marlon - outstanding!) Our cabin attendant, Anthony, was such a nice man and he made sure things were tip top in our room.....bringing anything extra we needed to include our laundry - outstanding. The young lady that worked at the "excursion desk" (do not remember her name...tall, thin, beautiful with long blonde hair) - outstanding. All the ship personnel were great...very friendly and courteous!

Ship Quality

Ship was spotless! Saw areas being cleaned every time we turned around! Loved the size of this ship....not so large that we had our bearings by late day 2.

Cabin / Stateroom

Oh, we loved our cabin! Did interior room which was perfect in size for the two of us! Had our steward make our beds into twins which gave us more room. And the storage we found in nooks and grannies was a great surprise! Room was clean, clean, clean...no complaints. Bed extremely comfortable and room VERY quiet (way too easy to sleep in late!!!) The only thing, we thought our room was going to be more "midship" instead of the back of the ship. It worked out okay. I felt the rocking somewhat, but it put me to sleep!

Ship tip

Choose the "anytime dinner" vs. the 6pm or 8pm. Sometimes you want to catch a show or can't make it back from an excursion to eat early. The flexibility would be nicer. Think we will try that next time! Also, if you really want to save some money, take an interior room! The only time you are in your room is to sleep/shower/change. The ship is too fun to hang in your room!

Absolutely gorgeous! Yes, the excursion was to Blue Lagoon...who would guess water could even be that color!

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

Haiti was so beautiful, WOW! Beaches were amazing and several to choose from. The snorkeling was really nice. Not too crowded, and the captain/staff were very knowledgeable about the reefs, fish, and plant life. One word of advice. Sadly, the people of Haiti are very poor and at the Market shopping they tend to bombard you trying to sell. It's sad, so next time I'm going to take extra dollar bills and just pass them out.
