Review summary

It was a nice ship but some employees were just rude (playmakers bar staff)also guests who are "royal loyal" should not act like they are better than people who cruise mostly in carnival. Ive been on. 12 carnival and 2 Royal. and Ive got to say Royal is pretty boring. Im 57 but I liken and the highlight of my cruise is not 80's trivia as it was for many on this voyage. just kind weird.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
It was good. easy to go through the process even though there are more protocols and requirements. Losing a star is because of the mask

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The first cruise post covid we went on was amazing. Food, staff, other guests. This one not so much. Its as if only a few months in everyone is already irritated, demanding and rude. We didn't eat in the main dining room. Steakhouse and Tepanyaki were both outstanding

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
one word. BORING.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
the ice skating show was great. not much else on board

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
everyone seemed fine but not as excited to be back to work as they were a few months previously

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
super clean. Spotless

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
always clean. excellent room steward who went out of his way to find a fan for me

Ship tip

for guests to not bash people who like to have fun and who are not "royal loyal but prefer a more fun cruise line
