Review summary

Royal Caribbean continues to provide joyful and memorable experiences even with all the challenges of delivering those experiences during a pandemic.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Even though we had a check in time of 1:00pm, we were able to check in as soon as we arrived. Possibly this was due to the ship sailed with only 1500 passengers (about 30%) occupancy.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining room is still serving the same quality and selections from pre-pandemic cruising. Menus are accessible in the Royal app.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Flowrider, fitness center, solarium and pools.

Entertainment

For our intended purposes, this short cruise was to relax so we were not interested in attending any shows.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Both cruises we’ve taken since the start up (Freedom in July and this cruise); staff are absolutely fabulous. They are so happy to be back to work and are genuinely caring and pleased to be of service.

Ship Quality

Ship tip

It’s a vacation, spread joy and treat others respectfully. Be gracious and thank staff for their hard work and diligence.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

1 out of 5
Nassau still has little to nothing to do. Most shops are still closed due to ongoing pandemic and resulting poor economy. Time spent at this port of call was way too long (sailed at 8:30pm). New pier are is well under construction and making headway, hope the island will recover better once the construction is done.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

5 out of 5
As usual, had a wonderful time at CoCo Cay. Went to the floating bar (now located in the South beach section).

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
So easy and relaxed, again most likely due to the low capacity.
