This hands down was one of the best cruises I've ever been on, it may be the best it's too recent to say. EVERYTHING about this cruise was perfect. The food was amazing, great shows, perfect day at cococay was literally perfect, the crowd level was barely over 1,000 for a ship that holds 4,000, no lines for anything, best embark and disembark I've seen so much to say. I did do a full review on my youtube channel, as this was another solo cruise for me just search Mariner of the Seas Review MrBucketlist because it's too much to type here but regardless I fell in love with this ship and cruiseline. My one and only critique is that they implement things for solo's as that's the only way I cruise unless I'm forced to go with family or my spouse...lol (joking) but I'm sure royal will work on that sooner than later. Enjoy your future cruise with them!
Embarkation

Quick. Yes they repeatedly ask to see the same documents over and over but we never sat down, never stopped. I came at peak time and was still on the ship in 10 minutes.

Food and Dining

This hands down was the very best cruise ship food I've ever had. I recently came off of MSC literally two weeks ago and even though I won't say it was horrible like other people claim, it is truly like night and day coming to Royal Caribbean. I had zero reason to try the specialty restaurants because both the MDR and Buffet were amazing. I can't imagine how it is on the bigger ships.
Onboard Activities

Great. I did everything that was offered besides gambling. The waterslides, flowrider, skypad, arcade, all pools, solarium, shows, silent disco everything was just amazing.
Entertainment

Great. I enjoyed all the shows. The juggler and the ice skating show were some of my favorites but everything else was great too. I'm not too familiar with Elton John's music but even that show was really good.

Everyone was great. I loved my waiter and his attendant so much I asked to them both for the entire trip.
Ship Quality

Not a dirty spot on the ship. Everything also looked clean and new, it's amazing how old the ship really is. The amplified ships in royal's line are great!
Cabin / Stateroom

I can't remember the number but royal upgraded me from a standard inside cabin to an ocean view in the middle of the ship. it was quiet but close to everything.
I didn't get off the ship because I've been here so many times, but thankfully the ship had plenty to do. It was nice to stay here so late (until 8:30) and to be able to see Atlantis at night.
My goodness this is hands down one of the best islands I've ever been to. The food, drinks, water park, beaches, THE WILD LAGOON PARTY, the shuttle, the views of the ship, the friendly staff all around. I loved everything I can't say enough
Fastest I've ever seen. There was literally no line and they checked ID's on the gangway instead of at the security door of the ship like most lines do. I couldn't believe it. I thought I walked the wrong way at first it was completely empty.
Such a wonderful review! Nice to hear all of these comments! Coco Cay was our favorite place the last cruise. We sail for the second time on Mariner in November. I am hesitant about the royal up program because the email I received had such high prices to upgrade. We already have a balcony room but would love a balcony suite for more room. Happy to hear there is an Elton John singer now on this ship.
Such an enthusiastic review, looks like you had a blast! Agree with your assessment that cruiselines should do more for solo cruisers, but I think they're recognizing that it's growing category of traveler. Some ships have solo cabins and the newer ships have designated areas for solo cruisers, so things are getting better. My first few solo cruises, I started making it a point to check with guest services about ship offerings for solo travelers, as they can vary from ship to ship The main dining room on most cruiselines will seat you with other solo cruisers; if they don't, you can make a request with the Maitre D'.
