This was my first cruise in 20 years and I went solo. I had a fabulous time! I really enjoyed skipping one port day and enjoying the ship. Coco Cay is fabulous and I look forward to going again in a few months.
Embarkation

The internet was down when we got there, but that issue was solved quickly. Then the line went really fast and everyone was so kind.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Staff and food in the main dining room were terrific and very attentive. Breakfast in the main dining room was always really fast. Windjammer was good with lots of choices. The views are beautiful from Windjammer. Everything bagel bun hot dogs on the pool deck are awesome.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Pools were very nice and not crowded since our ship was about 40% occupancy. Bingo and the casino were fun. Weather was an issue for trying the other outdoor activities on my cruise
Entertainment

The shows were good. I think with a fuller audience, the performers would have gotten more energy feedback which could have helped the whole experience. Our ship was only 40% booked. The Elton John tribute and the juggler were terrific. Also loved the Big Top ice show, but the "plot" was a bit odd. The performers really came to life in the clown skit which was super fun.
Service and Staff

Dining room and Windjammer staff were fabulous. My room stewardess was top notch and helped make my experience terrific.
Ship Quality

Everything on the ship was clean and well maintained. The décor is a bit dated, but never looked old or worn. LOTS of hand sanitizers. Really liked the hand washing stations at the entry of Windjammer.
Cabin / Stateroom

Always kept clean by my steward. As a solo traveler on a 3 night cruise, I had lots of room. Bathroom is small, just enough room for one person. Not much storage in the bath but for short cruises for 2 it would be fine.
Just chilled on the island for 5 hours until it got really windy. Snack Shack was just enough food for the day. Beautiful water and a fabulous nap. Bathrooms were kept clean and swept of sand all day.
I was on the Mariner 14 days before you also as a solo. I agree with your reveiw right down to every detail... (the ice show was great but the story line was so odd I just enjoyed the skating) anyway the cruise was awesome and so was your review.
Sometimes solo is the way to go! I started going solo because I got tired of having cruise plans fall through waiting on other people. Best decision ever! May this be the first of many cruise adventures for you 🛳
