Review summary

Overall cruise was okay. Was disappointed in the limited nighttime activities, long lines for the skypad and the limits for the water slide. Really cut down on what our family could do. We probably will cruise again in the future but it will be a while as our experience was average and have many other places we’d like to visit first.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very quick, no lines, the staff obviously knew what they were doing and were very efficient.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We did the Skypad once. Waited in line for 30 minutes and every day thereafter was a long line and wasn’t worth waiting (or didn’t have time). My son was very disappointed the water slide height requirement was 48” as it was something he desperately wanted to do. The slide was slow short so can’t quite understand why the requirements are 48” when similar or more advanced slides at CoCo Cay had height requirements of 42”.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
There were not a lot of family shows/ activities onboard. Found our family somewhat board at night as the entertainment was more geared toward adults.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
We were disappointed in our cabin as the pictures online are misleading. Our cabin was not updated at all. The couch was frayed and falling apart, the toilet in the bathroom smelled like old urine (was there when we got in our room and clearly wasn’t ours.

Ship tip

Do your research and be sure you know exactly what your stateroom will be like. Also, if traveling with kids, try to find out what the nighttime entertainment is to avoid being bored.

When they set age/size limits for things such as slides they consider at lot of things including diameter of it as well as curves. Being on a moving ship vs stationary land is a factor too. Limits are set for safety reasons not to single anyone out. If they let a undersized child on it and they were hurt I am sure they would be quickly sued over letting them on to begin with.
