Review summary

This was our first time on a Royal Caribean ship! We had a wonderful time. We loved the trivia and the library was nice to go to just to relax. We lived the Cafe Promenade to get a cup of tea or a piece of pizza. Our housekeeper, and wait staff were so kind and just did a good job in there area of expertise.

Café Promenade

It was always pretty busy, but there was always cold water to drink, a nice selection of teas, hot chocolate, and coffee. They had big cinnamon rolls in the morning and then pizza to serve all of the time. Even though it seemed like the line was going to be long, they gave out as much pizza you would like very quickly.

Ben and Jerry's

My husband got a cup of his favorite icecream and it was worth the amount that he paid!

Schooner Bar

We did a lot of the trivia, which was at this place. You could get a piece of pizza from the cafe and a drink and sit while trying to win!

Main Dining Room

We had the best waiter and assistant! George and Jessielyn put did themselves. Our drinks were always full and when our bread basket was almost empty, it was refilled very quickly. I got the steak each night bc I normally dont eat one very often. My husband can be seen as a picky eater and he ate different things and enjoyed them. No one gave us a look when we ordered 2 appetizers or two types of desserts. If you have never had something and it's on the menu, please try it! Even if you just try a little.different soup, snails, or octopus, noone will look at you if you say you dont like it!We were a family of four, my mother, sister, me, and my husband. Definately no children but we did notice there was a lot of children with their families at dinner. Some were not as well behaved or one table asked for different items not on the menu, but our waiter and asst. Were kind and just kept working.

Windjammer Café

Other than right when we walked onto the ship, this place was never too crowded. They had everything, from vegetarian, gluten free options, and sugar free desserts. We got used to eating the same salad, pineapple, and other things that we loved. They always had water, lemonade, and some sort of other flavored water. The only thing is that you had to use cups and just pour your drink into your thermos or drink holder if you brought one.

Onboard Activities

If you are adventurous, the flo rider, rock wall, and jumping thing would be great for you! My family really enjoyed the different trivia contests that they had. We also just lounged around, read books, and played Scrabble bc we are always up and moving at our jobs. It was just nice to sit and relax.

Casino Royale

This place had the quarter machine that you drop in and see any at the bottom are pushed. We saved our quarters for about a month and came with a big bag, ready to have fun. My mother and sister played the slots and said that they enjoyed them. It one place on the boat that you can smoke if it bothers you.

Entertainment

My sister and mom went to two shows. They said that they really enjoyed it. I went with them to see the ice skating show. Get there early so you can find a seat. The rink seems small until 8 skaters are on the rink doing turns and twirls. It was the best!

Library

5 out of 5

The library had a bunch of scrabble, dominoes, and other games if you wanted to play. Someone was always at one of the four desktop computers available and it seemed like noone ever had a problem with them. My husband sat alot on the very comfy chairs to read and play his games. It was very quiet and nice.

Service and Staff

Our housekeeper was the best! We came back to the room to it being so nice and clean!

Ship Quality

There were many touch screens where you could press a map of where you wanted to go or where to find your room if you were lost on the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We loved our cabin. My mother and sister stayed the cabin next to us. We had one big bed where they had two smaller beds. Everything was nice. There was lots of room to put our things, lots of hangers, and our bathroom was bigger than I expected.

Ship tip

Try anything you want on the menus! Try the sit down breakfast at least once!

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

We did not do any excursions and you dont have to feel like you have to!! We went a little bit to the ocean and then sat the pool until lunch was ready! We got a drink from the swim/walk up pool. There were seats in the pool where you could lounge. It never felt crowded at all!! We lived the lunch of tacos and hamburgers/hot dogs. We watched the people zipline across! We asked about the big balloon ride and it would have been $32 for 12 minutes in the air. We decided to just have fun at the pool!

This was the fastest we have ever been off of a ship. We ate breakfast and then went down to the fourth floor and went off of the boat. Security went very fast!
