This was our first cruise. It was a good introductory and we are already looking forward to planning another. The ship was clean and there was always something to do. With our cruise being right after Hurricane Dorian, I was very happy to see everything Royal Caribbean was doing to help the people in the Bahamas.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Embarkation was delayed because a guest from the previous cruise could not be located. Once on the ship we made our way to the Windjammer for lunch. We made the mistake of not walking all the way around and missed most of the selections.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
We enjoyed breakfast and lunch each day at the Windjammer. The selection was good and food was hot and often replenished.
We ate dinner in the MDR each night. The appetizers were the highlight of the meal. The mail courses were small portions and nothing spectacular. The desserts were average quality and resembled those found on a buffet.
Sky Bar
5 out of 5
Great drinks and convenient location.
Schooner Bar
5 out of 5
Great drinks! A lot of veteran cruisers frequent this bar. They make you feel right at home.
Pool Bar

Great drinks and convenient location.
Café Promenade
5 out of 5
I really enjoyed the Frappuccino's. The pizza was good and always fresh.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
One pool was closed on our day at sea, this made the remaining 2 pools very crowded. The fitness center was a good size and offered a great view. The escape room was engaging and quite difficult. We did not escape.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The Quest was a hit. It is quite entertaining to see what people are willing to do to "win". The ice skating show was okay but kind of cheesy. Marcus Monroe, the juggling comedian, was very entertaining and put on a wonderful show.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Our room steward quickly learned our schedule and never interrupted. We did see her daily in the hall where she greated us with a smile and inquired about our plans for the day. I did not feel our wait staff in the MDR did more than required during our dining service. We received a fruit tray and chocolate covered strawberries in our room, but never knew who sent them.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Workers were often seen cleaning and vacuuming.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We loved the Panoramic Ocean View stateroom (1870) The cabin was clean and a comfortable size for two people. The view from the floor to ceiling windows was amazing! We did feel a lot of movement, our room was on the 12th floor and toward the front of the ship.
Ship tip
The entrance to peek-a-boo deck is located on the port side of the 11th floor.
Port Canaveral is about an hour from the Orlando International Airport. We utilized a shuttle service called Cruise Control Transportation and would use them again. We rented a car upon return and spent the day at SeaWorld before a late flight.
Nassau's roads are narrow. The traffic often honks horns and drivers run onto sidewalks to pass cars trying to park or impeding traffic. We enjoyed the Rum, Reggae, and Rhythms tour. It provided a good variety and the tour guide was very engaging and knowledgeable.
Coco Cay did not impress us. There was a lot of sea grass and the water had a terrible smell. We did not purchase tickets to the waterpark. The food venues were good and offered a good selection.
We didnt realize one of our luggage pieces was damaged before it arrived to our cabin, so I spent 45 minutes in line at Guest Services before we could disembark. We opted for the self disembarkation and checking out went quickly. We did not have no passports and did not feel it took much longer than those that did.
