Review summary

It was our first time on the ship and enjoyed it. Pretty relaxing and the staff was friendly. Surprisingly, not many kids on this sailing. We would sale again on Mariner easily.

Embarkation

Smooth and easy embarkation. Every year it gets better and better.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food options were good. The selection changed a bit at the Park Cafe. The service at the MDR was awesome. Food everywhere was good although the sizes and cooking levels of the filet minots were a bit inconsistent.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We went to trivia a couple times, one headliner and one game show. They were fine, although there wasn't the Love and Marriage show, which we enjoy. We like trivia but in this case the crew member was really, really hard to understand. We still had fun.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Intuitive, warm and friendly service - especially by our canin attendant Irman and the MDR staff.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Even with the refurb, it seemed like a cross between Enchantment and Freedom. There were things you would see every mow and then that reminded you it was an old ship but the common areas were nice and it had an easy layout to navigate. Very clean we felt.

Ship tip

The Viking Crown lounge is a must-do

Ports of call

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

It was awesome. Yes, it was somewhat crowded but was fine. I miss the green areas that were around before construction but the final product is quite nice. The ballon ride was great as was the kids splash area. Food was good, too.

Nassau, Bahamas

We had no excursions and just went out, walked, and came back. Not the most enjoyable port for us.

Disembarkation

Wow... we waited maybe 90 seconds to get off the ship and 30 seconds to smile at the camera at customs. Easiest ever.

Traveler Photos

Shrimp cocktail at the MDR Clean cabin, small bathroom and adequate storage. The furniture showed its age but that was fine with us.
