Only one very important recommendation, come up with a better alcohol package!!!!
My wife wanted the alchol package but having to include me was wrong, I rarely drink. So she chose not to accept the package but were further shocked at the prices of single drinks!!Unfortunately for us it negatively affected our socializing.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Everything was actually excellent except for the ipad used by the associate used to take our picture. That alone took about 15 minutes.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The facilities were very clean and beautiful. The staff was excellent and the food was pretty good not great. At times it tasted like lots of salt was added. The lobster was over baked and dry.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Overall the activities were very good to excellent.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Overall the Entertainment was very good, Ice, comedian and juggler shows were excellent. 1 or 2 other shows were not very good, one we actually left, which happens rarely.
Children's Programs
4 out of 5
Much of what she did, she really enjoyed, also very good but not excellent.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Service and Staff were excellent, friendly, courteous, fun, helpful and professional. Mickey, Adi, Daryl wait staff were wonderful, they alone made my granddaughters trip very special!!!
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
I would have rated it excellent but the track around the pool was not very long and was very congested to walk or run on.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
It too would have been rated excellent except the refrigrator did not work and we were told it was only for presecription medicines? By the way we spent $50 on bottled water that was never cool or cold, plus, even if the refr. did work the bottles were way to large.
Ship tip
The ship and crew were excellent, but beware of alcohol prices and packages.
The Port was very beautiful and efficientley laid out, parking and driving were crazy all around. I do not intend to visit Miami again, once was bad enough.
While we were being rushed and corralled to move on and not completely understand what was being shooted to us we knowly, (expecting to pick it up told to, walked by our luggage all the way to having our passports scanned. NO ONE was willing or able to actual assist us. Upon realizing what had happened we were adviced to exit the facility, never being allowed to return. For over 2 hours, my wife and granddaughter we made to wait outside in the cold untill every had left the area. The federal employees working customs wereIt was simply discussing. It prety much ruined a very nice trip.
None of the refrigerators on the ships we’ve been on keep things cold. We always ask our cabin steward to fill our ice bucket twice a day. I believe that if you had called Royal Caribbean about the deluxe drink package and stated that you don’t drink, you wouldn’t have to buy the deluxe drink package but would have to buy a nonalcoholic package. Glad you had a great cruise overall! We sail on Mariner is August and are looking forward to the trip!
