Review summary

We were happy to partake of this cruise as a family, regardless of anything that was negative.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation was prettty smooth. Once we got out of our Uber transportation, the street level entrance was hectic; but the rest was very smooth.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining room meals and servers were outstanding! The buffets were very good, except seating was difficult to find at times.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Swimming pool was freezing, so my family didn't get in. Ice skating show and ice skating for us were good. Laser tag was very fun! Watching the belly flop contest was very fun and funny! I wish it were clearer that some of the activities take reservations or wrist bands. We went to a number of activities only to be disappointed that there were reservations needed in advance.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We didn't attend a lot of shows, but the parts we saw were filled with outstanding performers.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
The majority of the ship personnel were very friendly and helpful.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was well-maintained and the layout and design were fine.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
For our family, the room size was fine. I think it would be easy to anticipate a hotel-type room, but they aren't that size. But, we didn't spend much time in our room in the first place.

Ship tip

Any activities on the ship that you're interested in doing, check to make sure if you need reservations in advance; or you may be disappointed. If you can help it, don't waste time waiting for elevators. Use the stairs, or you might miss half of your trip!

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

1 out of 5
We were supposed to visit Cococay, but the weather didn't allow. I do fully understand that the weather is out of the control of Royal Carribean, but I feel like they should do something to compensate their guests if something like this happens. We paid good money for something that we expected to get to do. Maybe ship credit, drink vouchers, or any small token would make us feel better about missing a big part of our trip. Make us feel like they care that we missed a port of call. I was very disappointed in this!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
As fast as we could walk, we were off the ship and out of the terminal! They have this down to a science!

What activities needed reservations. I didn’t think this ship required any other then special dining.
