Review summary

My girlfriend and I were on this cruise. It was out first cruise ever and we both enjoyed it. I highly suggest the balcony room. One of the best parts was getting room service in the morning and then setting on the balcony drinking our morning tea or coffee. There was really only three things that were bad. 1 The drink selection is pretty small. Coffee, hot tea, soda, maybe ice tea and that about it.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
enjoyed the food. Some things are not cooked the same as the restaurant you go to back home. So try to not going in thinking you want to get this dish made this way. If for some reason you don't like the food tell them and they will find you something that you will like.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We saw a ice show. a Beatles band. a magic show. and a couple other musical shows. All were very enjoyable. and on you got to go in shorts and sandals and have a drink.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our Waiter was outstanding very friendly. We even chatted a few times about his family and just treated each other like friends.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is HUGE. Very clean. The bathrooms get cleaned about even 30 minutes

Cabin / Stateroom

We were port side midship deck 9. Kept the balcony door open as much as possible. Go size room for two. Anymore than that would have been a little too much but for just us it was great. Shower is small but we were still able to take one shower together. Also has a TV but they show the same couple shows over and over, but who's really there for TV?

Ports of call

Naples, Italy

3 out of 5
Didn't really see much of Naples. But what we did see was dirty and not very inviting. Pompeii on the other hand was great. It's huge. The tour is pretty good but 3 hours just barely scratches at everything you can see there. Only thing is don't get your hopes up for big grand completely statues. It's mainly houses, bars, and the such.

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

We were only there for about 6 hours. So was a get off the ship do a tour get back on the ship and leave. The city isn't to impressive to us but the ruins were nice. If your not interested in the ruins however you might want to stay on the ship.

Rhodes, Greece

Didn't do a tour here either. Do if all your trying to see is the old city you really don't need a tour. It's all right there. Jump off the ship walk around and enjoy. Lots of shops. Lots of little places to eat. I think we ate 3 lunches in 8 hours

Istanbul, Turkey

5 out of 5
There is way to much in Istanbul to see it all in two days. We had a great time walking around. Did a tour the first day of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the Sultans palace. Tour guide was very well spoken and knew his facts/history.
Don't Miss: There is a underground site near the Blue Mosque called Basilica Cistern. Not the grandest of places but still pretty amazing to see.

Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey

We didn't really do anything special. Just got off the ship and walked around. But it was still very enjoyable. We also left with a very nice carpet. Ate some great food and looked at shops.

Pros: All in all just a great time

Cons: Not a large selection of drinks
