Review summary

The ship itself was amazing and the staff was wonderful. The of course get paid to smile and be friendly but it felt very genuine and not forced.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
some of the food wasnt so good because it tasted like it was cooked too far ahead of time but the good thing is they didnt make you feel bad if you sent it back or ordered multiple things.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
most shows were fun, some were kind of lame but they were free so no biggie.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our stateroom attendent was so nice, his smile was infectious and genuine, dinner servers were very helpful, we moved to a new table to be with friends but the table was too small so they had a carpenter cut a larger piece of wood to put over ours to make it bigger. I'd consider that "above and beyond"

Ports of call

Istanbul, Turkey

3 out of 5
Couldve been better hallf the sites were closed one day and the other half closed the other day but no one told us about this so we didnt plan accordingly and missed some stuff. plan to spend at least half a day or more at the grand bazaar. Maybe take in a turkish bath, awkward at first but its an experience.
Don't Miss: grand bazaar and the "pudding shop" by the blue mosque.

Kusadasi (Ephesus), Turkey

5 out of 5
very cute city, ephesus was suprisingly cool. Shopping can be overwhelming with the push people but it could be fun as well but I'd wait if you're going to istanbul, better quality and options but maybe not better prices? eat off the beaten path, tourist areas prices are higher
Don't Miss: ephesus

Piraeus (Athens), Greece

1 out of 5
city is dirty and poluted. Sites were ok but it's hard when 3000 people only want to see the same thing. Also the weather made it miserable but that's not anyones fault. Dont bother with a taxi at the port, they're rude and aggressive, just get a "hop on, hop off" tour bus
Don't Miss: check out the acropolis musuem, we didnt and were dissappointed.

Naples, Italy

1 out of 5
Naples is a dirty gross city. Trash everywhere. Dont spend time there, go to pompeii and Herculeaum. Try to go to the amalfi coast, we didnt have time but heard it's beautiful. Wouldve like to see capri too but once again didnt have time.
Don't Miss: Eat in Herculaeum, very good, inexpensive food.

Rhodes, Greece

5 out of 5
Very cute little port town, we didnt make it out of old town, we'd like to see more next time but time was short. Once again, eat off the beaten path, prices are high on the main strip.

Pros: Meeting new people, comfort of ship

Cons: price of things on board, felt nickel and dimed, also the time in some ports.
