Review summary
Recently took my family who never cruised before on the Mariner of the Seas and the ship is beautiful. This is my 9th cruise with Royal Caribbean and I was dissapointed. It seems like you are getting less for the money. The Windjammer buffet was very good and we ate dinner there two nights because the choices at the Dinning room were not all appealing to any of us. Love the feel of the promanade deck but the cafe needs much improving with their foods. I know midnight buffets are a big wast of food, but what happened to the Grand Buffet and caribbean night buffet by the pool? They use to be great. The pool activities have become hardly any, when that is where most people are on the days at sea so there should be alot more activities at the pool. As I said the service was excellent but the rest needs improvement or back to what it use to be. Paying for Johnny Rockets? don't you make enough money on drinks and other charges, do you really have to charge for that? We enjoyed St Marrten and St Thomas especially snorkeling. Last year I sailed on Carnival that was OK but Royal Caribbean has always been my favorite but now I just wish I could feel that way again.Ports of call
Pros: Service was excelent
Cons: The quality and choices at dinner & in the cafe
