Review summary

We were worried that my son would not enjoy the kids club or refuse to go, but it turned out to be his favorite part of the criuse. That gave us a few hours each day to do things without him. The staff were very friendly, we always felt welcome where ever we went. This was our first cruise with a balcony and would say it was worth the extra expense. It was nice to hang out there when my son was sleeping. I thought the food in the dining room was ok, nothing great. And the pacing of the meal very slow, that could be just the luck of the draw in terms of our table, but hard to sit for two hours with a 5yo just waiting for the next course. We ate at Chops and the service was great and the food very good, though we both thought our steaks were a bit on the dry side despite being cooked properly, maybe too lean? But I would say it's worth the money to do. Smoking was allowed just about everywhere except in the dining areas, I'm sure it is like that in most ships, but if you are use to not being around smoke except in bars, it comes as a shock that you can't walk too many places around the ship without breathing it in.

Ports of call

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

3 out of 5
Took the tour to St. John island to visit trunk bay, it was nice but you only get about an hour and a half there with the tour. If you can make the trip on your own you could set your own schedule.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
Seemed a little nicer than St Thomas. Did some shopping and relaxed on the nice beach next to downtown. Can just take a 5$ water taxi ride there.

Pros: The ship was clean, nice balcony room, kids club

Cons: All the smoking everywhere, slow pace at dinner
