This was our 2nd cruise on The Mariner of the Seas. Great ship. Captain Johnny very gracious and friendly. Excellent communication with passengers on updates and ship happenings. Crew very friendly. Cruise Director (Abe Hughes) and staff did excellent job. great shows and talent. Wait staff and cabin attendants very attentive and friendly. Nice fitness center. Packed the first day but attendance tailed off as days went by. No surprise.

Nice variety of entertainment to get you out of the hot sun. Trivia, name that tune, etc.

Pool deck staff did good job policing kids on deck but was surprised to see so many parents let their young kids (

Pros: Ship, Crew and Ports of Call

Cons: Overpriced alcohol and optional photos

Recommends Mariner of the Seas? Yes!

Ship Quality
Plenty of room to more around and enough space to relax
Food and Dining
Great selection of food in Windjammer but after 7 days got tired of the same thing.
Cabin / Stateroom
Inside cabin was spacious enough for two. Excellent water pressure in shower. Fresh towels at least 3x per day
Service and Staff
Didn't bump into anyone on the crew that didn't say "hi" or have a smile
Entertainment
Great selection of activities. Music, sports, bingo. etc.
Cococay (Cruiseline's Private Island)
Rented wave runners. Had an outstanding time. Lot of fun. Lunch was a bit of a disappointment.
Don't Miss: Wave runner rental
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
Great day spent wakling the downtown area enjoying the sights. Extremely hot day!
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Spent the day shopping. Nice variety of stuff. Smokers dream with the very cheap cigarettes.
