the ship shows signs of age but is very nice;atrium concept/promenade is very nice as well; no midnight buffets; many lounges close early; dining room staff very pleasant and accomodating but food was just average; cabin steward was awesome; limited activities on sea days; pushy barstaff always trying to sell beverages; very efficient in getting passengers on and off the ship; room service staff was horrible; purser's desk / other hotel staff were not very accomodating or nice; cruise director staff was nice and pleasant; good value considering price paid

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
I have been on well over 25 cruises on many different lines and through most parts of the world and the food on this ship was really very mediocre and at times, below average. It's edible and probably won't make you sick, but is nothing special at all.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
the usual bingo and trivia were all fine as well as the mini golf; showroom performers (ship cast were ok but not great); outside comedians and entertainers were great; sea days were actually quite boring

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
wait staff in dining room was great; cabin steward was great; purser's desk/front desk staff had very poor service

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
shower head was not working properly; many public areas needed a thorough cleaning; size of vessel is amazing

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
small but functional; cabin steward was exceedingly efficient; mini fridge in every cabin; capability of ordering room service, ordering excursions, ordering movies, and checking your bill from the interactive television - a great feature

Ports of call

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
literally two island in one; great beaches on both sides; great shopping on both sides as well; I took a very long escorted tour and saw both sides of the island; I plan on returning for a regular vacation and tour surrounding island as well

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

3 out of 5
"DUCK" excursion was great; shopping is good if you need stuff; flea market is good for knock-offs

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

3 out of 5
many nice beaches; tender staff was good; buffet was good; iguanas were a nice treat
Don't Miss: i live on the beach in miami, so a beach for me is not that important

Pros: efficiency in moving large groups of guests

Cons: staff service spotty - sometimes awesome, other times not too good; lack of activities onboard; mediocre food
