Review summary

We had a great cruise aboard the Mariner of the Seas. It has helped us make many memories of celebrating our 29th anniversary. The customer service that we encountered was very good. The food was great and the dining room staff excellent. The shows were awesome including the ice show. There was never a dull moment on the ship - always plenty to do. We would definitely recommend this ship to our friends.

The food selections were great and the dining room staff were superb. We did try to make reservations for Chops Grille and the Portofino, but by Tuesday everything was booked. we were disappointed in that. The presentation of the food was always pleasing to the eyes. We couldn't have asked for any better waiters. Homemade ice cream on the Celebrity Constellation was definitely a plus.

There was an overabundance of activities for everyone to participate in. We never were bored and wanted for something to do.

We did not spend much time in our stateroom so these things really did not matter to us. It would have been nicer to have a little bigger room, but that will not hinder us from cruising again. We had very little interaction with our stateroom attendant which was different from our cruise with Celebrity. Our stateroom was always cleaned quickly and we loved the towel art with the special detailed personalization.

We were very disappointed in this island. Agressive behavior of the "salesmen" was bothersome and a big turn off. We also did not enjoy our excursion - the 4X4 Safari Adventure . We felt the driver's "driving" was unsafe and not enjoyable at all. It helped further our prayer lives a whole lot that day. Dunn's River Falls was pretty even in the pouring down rain.

We are likely to come back to this island. It is beautiful and the people were very friendly without being pushy. The tour guide was very informative and fun - trolley roger.
