Review summary

This was our first cruise and frankly will be our last with Oceania. I complained to the head of customer service on the boat because of the poor quality of substitutions we were given because they removed Poland, Russia and Berlin. He was not so interested in hearing what I had to say - rather he was more concerned with telling how many rave reviews he had and to tell me that Oceania had the right to make any changes based on contract language. This did not resonate well with me. The long and the short is that I paid a lot of money for something that I did not get. In return, Oceania credited us a whopping $500 for the inconvenience. Big deal. My advice - stay way from this cruise line!

When I signed on for the cruise I selected a specific suite I wanted. At check-in, I was given a different room on a different floor and nobody seemed to know what was going on and how to resolve it. I later found out the boat only had 500 or so passengers so likely they could have given me my original suite.

Cabin / Stateroom

It says cabin 10049, but we were in room 11049 which was clean and fairly spacious but dated in design. The outdoor chairs were uncomfortable because the pads were so thin and I’ll fitting

Ship tip

Don’t waste your money. We had three ports/destinations removed (Russia (I understand this), Poland (canceled two weeks before with no explanation - found out on the boat they canceled because it would cost too much to dock there - again few paying passengers onboard), and Berlin.

Honest to Gos, 1/2 an hour and you have seen everything. And by the way, we didn’t go to Kolkata,the shuttle took us to Hamina.

Where were you docked in Copenhagen? The hop/on-off busses come right into cruiseport on ships days to take passengers on very interesting city tours. Your itinerary was amazing.
