Review summary

We loved our experience on this cruise so much that we booked seven more cruises within a few days of embarking. Sioux Shelton was the onboard ambassador, and we got to know here very well. She is intelligent, funny, and does her job with alacrity. She helped us plan cruises for 2019, and we are looking forward to seeing her again. We live on a small, paradise island in Hawaii so were not as impressed with the islands in French Polynesia as much as the other passengers. No matter where we venture in life, it's always great to come home.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
We did not like having to wait an hour for a bus to take us to the ship and another hour in line once we got there.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Not only was the food the best in the main dining room, but we also enjoyed the luxury of being able to have dinner in all of the specialty restaurants without an additional charge. We were also treated to two amazing nights in Le Privee.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We were particularly impressed with one of the guest speakers. His name is James Grant-Peterkin, and he is a very intelligent and social man with a good sense of humor. He has lived on Easter Island for 18 years and enjoyed sharing his wealth of knowledge. We attended all of his lectures.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We always find waiters who we enjoy so spent the majority of our time with a few who knew everything we enjoyed which made ordering easier.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It was great being on a ship that had such sophisticated furnishings. The artwork was far superior to others we have seen, and they layout for passengers was much more private and inviting.

Cabin / Stateroom

Ship tip

This ship has an extensive library where you may exchange your books. It was the best we've seen, and I will remember to take books for the exchange next time.
