I absolutely love the Mardi Gras. Despite having 6,500 guest occupancy, the ship on most occasions never felt crowded. Embarkation & Disembarkation process was truly impressive & stress free.

Ship layout is a tad different. The quirky layout helped spread out the masses so the ship never really felt crowded.
Cabin / Stateroom

I was a little concerned about having an interior cabin & the lack of space. Cabin #8212 is a square interior that was pretty impressive space wise. 8th floor cabin was a great location for us. The Havana deck area outside the pool area-was always so peaceful.
Ship tip
Plan on wearing your most comfortable shoes. Lots of included food options to balance the buffet vs mdr conversations.
Always enjoy a day at Megan’s Bay. Taxi rates are now $12 per person each way. $96 for 4 people for a 15 minute ride plus $28 admission into beach area. We may do it again….but like everything else those taxi rates have increased. (Not a Carnival issue)
I Walked down to Jacks Shack area rented 2 chairs & umbrella for $23. Had a great day in the water & dosing in the shade. Part of our group enjoyed the beach area on the right side directly off the dock area. All had a great day.
Amazing process! We selected our disembarkation time thru the Ap. We were actually called about 15 minutes earlier than expected. Walked across the street to our car & leaving at 8:05 am. IMPRESSIVE!
