Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Cucina was fantastic on night 1, though service slowed down later in the week. At Chi Bang, we waited nearly 45 minutes for our drinks and appetizers, then another half hour for our entree. Food was good, but we nearly left due to the wait. Lido buffet was fine. Afterall, it is a buffet. Service in the Palms was great and the show was fun as well. Seemed like the bartenders and wait staff were very focused on tips ( we had the drink package) when compared to those on other cruise lines.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
The pools are quite small for a ship this size. Fitness Center is very warm in temperature, only small windows (versus floor to ceiling windows on other cruise ships), the cardio equipment is packed so tight together that you feel as if you are running into the person next to you.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The evening shows were top notch. Singers and dancers are talented and very entertaining. Even the kids loved it.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Room stewards were great, but the ship did not provide a turn down like other cruise lines. Wait staff was polite and courteous. It's not their fault that food was taking long to come out.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Many areas had claustrophobic vibes (i.e. low ceilings, tight spaces, not enough walking room). Seems like there were the same amount of bars/relaxing areas as smaller ships, which increased wait times and added unnecessary frustration. If you build a ship for 5k+ guests, you will need more refreshment & relaxation spaces.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Very tight for 2 adults and 2 kids.

Bugs at the common pool were biting.

Grand Turk Island

Beautiful beaches. They are wavy, but the kids had a blast. We rented a golf cart for the day from Paradise rental. Affordable and the employees were polite. We had a mechanical issue and they were on site in 5 minutes with a new cart for us. Thanks Wally!
