Review summary

This was our first cruise in February. It was rainy for most of the week, and our Bolt coaster rides were canceled. The sun came out on Thursday in Grand Turk and on the last Day at Sea, so we were able to get some sun. The ship is huge and we had more than enough food choices.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The easiest, smoothest, and fastest we've ever had!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The main dining room was as expected with a little extra flair, loved all the specialty offerings, and the buffets were plentiful and yummy!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Was a little disappointed with the area of the showing of main shows aboard this huge ship, the Mardi Gras. It was difficult to find seating at every offering. Plentiful pools and loungers, loved the outdoor Dive Inn Movies. Our ride on the Bolt was canceled because of the rain, which resulted in disappointment. Overall, we didn't let the rain spoil our trip. There were so many things to do to keep all 9 of us busy!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Shows were good, a little more upscale, however, didn't like how the stage and seating was.

Children's Programs

Had teens, no small children.

Service and Staff

I loved my cheery Omelet maker Peta-Gaye! She has such a sweet personality and really gets those omelets out in a hurry, never missing a beat, and never forgetting an order! Totally dynamite! Victor, where we got the towels at the pool daily was just so pleasant and such a gentleman! Warih Bagas from Indonesia totally went the extra mile and dried off two lounge chairs for my husband and I so we could enjoy the upcoming Grand Turismo movie, keeping a genuine smile on his face the whole time, so very sweet! Barbara the assistant team server from Kenya kept our drinks flowing with the sweetest smile and personality every single trip to our table. She was just like family! Gibson, from Indonesia, Sr. photographer from pixels took so much time with us helping us decide how and how many photos to choose ,doing everything from showing all the options to laughing with us! And, finally, our cabin steward, Maha was the bomb! He was gentlemanly, funny, attentive and included our names every time he addressed each one of us. He was a joy and a pleasure to have as our steward!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
All of the ship was kept clean, and they were constantly drying the lido deck. Every table was emptied pretty much as soon as anyone left, so that others could use them.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin was as expected and totally clean and well kept. Love the beds and smooshy pillows.

Ship tip

Well, don't go in February. Other than that, it was FUN!

Do not like this port, as it's generally dirty and this time, we were very concerned with our safety.
