Food was mediocre most nights in the main dining room. The last formal night the food was awful. Several family members had to send back their lobster. My prime rib had spots of gray and was tough. Our surrounding tables also sent their food back. Melting chocolate cake was good. Powdered eggs at breakfast were bad.

The service and staff were phenomenal. Always pleasant. Our room steward always had a smile and was quick to help with anything we needed.

The room was in a great location close to the food venues and elevators. Thankfully the bolt wasn’t running for most of the trip because it was very noisy. It woke me up one morning at 7 am. The couch in the room was also disgusting and could use a good clean. I know that’s hard to do with the quick turnaround.

Ship tip

We traveled with my sister in law who has sailed many times. She navigated the reservation system for our time dining. One night we ate on our own at Cucina del capitan and had to wait almost an hour for a table. Be ready to wait for table and your food to be served. Typical evening meal would take 2 hours.
