Embarking on the Carnival Mardi Gras was very easy. They have the process nailed down to board 5500+ people in a timely manner.

We chose to do anytime dining. The first night, it was a 50 minute wait to get into the main dining room. We ended up checking in to a first-available restaurant opportunity and ended up at Chi-Bang. We enjoyed it very much and went back there for dinner a second night. We tried the dining room for brunch on our second day and the service was so slow that we never ended up going back to the main dining room. We ate at both the Fahrenheit 555 and Rudi’s Grill. I probably wouldn’t pay for the special restaurants again. I found the meals in the other restaurants were just as good or better. We enjoyed the Lido Marketplace for breakfast with made to order omelets and more.
Onboard Activities

We scheduled an appointment for Bolt the roller coaster on the way back. It was fun! It was not running most days due to high winds. I suggest making multiple appointments incase this happens. The pools were clean and lots of pool chairs all over the ship.

We really enjoyed the musicians and comedy shows. It was hard to get a seat at shows that were in the central area.

Not huge - but we were just there to sleep! It was clean and dark and made for great naps!
