Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was good and the buffet choices was much better this time. They had fried shrimp and steak one night and it was amazing.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Serenity deck was suppose to be relaxing but there was no way to relax when you have to get offered a drink every 5- 10 minutes. I just went back to my stateroom.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
It was kinda boring in that area to say the least. It was just okay. Jacky is okay but not very present as Kyndall. I felt like he was just the announcement clerk. I never saw him out and about other than scheduled times. Not a fan at all.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

Ship tip

Do go with high expectations of the overall experience. We had a great time in March and expected the same but it was just okay. The ports were very nice just the on ship experience was different. We didn’t like the food enough to pay for the second round to go there so we just went to the buffet otherwise the featured restoloke Chibang was not all that and the Italian restaurant was worse than that one so we didn’t like those two at all. To pay $8.00 per person to go back was simply not happening. So to the Lido Marketplace Buffet we went.

Ports of call

I go through every cruise not knowing who the cruise director is. Just a bunch of old cheerleaders.

The Mardi Gras is my favorite ship thus far. I really wish they would put Cam Chavis on this ship. He does an amazing job as CD!

Our cruises are not based on the CD because we could care less, to me the cabin steward is more important.

Sorry you were not pleased with the CD. Our cruises are not based on whom the CD is.

Kyndall is now going to be on the Jubilee.

The cruise director? If you ever feel like your job is meaningless, remember that there is such a thing as a "Cruise Director." They direct nothing. As far as I can tell, all they do is announce the "by the inch" sale or the "liquor tasting" or "incredible shopping" seminars and MC the various "entertainment" options occasionally. Pre-recorded messages and a monkey could replace them.

I can’t believe the cruise director is so important to people.

So you never went to the dining room? That isn't extra. I also never remember my cruise director. Only 1 I remember and we're platinum.

Can’t imagine choosing a cruise for a CD.

Out of important things on a Cruise, the cruise director is around the 100th reason out of 50... This will be our 22nd cruise next week, and I can't tell you one of the Cruise Directors, Norwegian or Carnival. I am on vacation. My wife is my Cruise Director, and she's the best. Best wishes following Cruise Directors.

They're not going to change it just because one person doesn't like them
