Food and Dining
The Chef's Table
We did the cooking classes and they were a bust. We even canceled our second class because it was so bad. They basically did everything for you, and then let you taste something that was the same that you just did, but they actually cooked it. At the end of the demonstration, they had a tour of the smokehouse, but only 9 people could go and there were twice that many people in the class.
Bonsai Teppanyaki
Good show, bad service and food. At the beginning, they ask about food allergies. My wife has a pollen allergy and cannot have any raw fruit/veggies. So they write all of it down, and still serve her a salad and when dessert came they served her chocolate covered strawberries! I mean, why even ask?
Guy's Burger Joint
Burgers were really good, but I wouldn't pay $20 for one at his restaurants. Get the donkey sauce on the side, they are great to dip your fries in.
Lido Marketplace
Joy who is the Matri D for the Marketplace is VERY kind and we really liked him. However, the food was just so so. Breakfast was the same thing every day, except bacon was every other day and they serve it to you. Eggs were instant and very watered down. Salad bar at lunch was good, other than that go somewhere else for lunch.
Palm Restaurant
Our wait staff was amazing. Food was good, but not as good as on previous cruises before the pandemic. I would suggest going somewhere else instead of Sea Day Brunch.
Heroes Tribute Lounge
This is a nice, comfortable place to watch a game on the big screen, and to make matters even better, there is an ice cream machine in the lounge!
Street Eats
My wife ate there almost every day. Philly fries were the best.
Limelight Lounge
We went there for a lot of trivia and comedy. I wish the bar would have been open for trivia, otherwise you have to go outside the club to get a drink
Guy's Pig & Anchor Smokehouse / Brewhouse
Being from the South, I pride myself in how good that I make smoked meats. I will admit that his brisket is WAY better than mine, and the pulled pork is close.
Fahrenheit 555 Steakhouse
Best meal on the cruise. Steak was so tender you could almost cut it with your butter knife. Service was slow because it was the first night of the cruise. They asked us at least half a dozen times if we wanted a glass of wine. We told them every time that we don't drink.
Cucina del Capitano
Just like Chibang, this was just okay. We had lunch there twice and while the food was good, it didn't blow me away. I would never pay to go to either of these restaurants.
Chibang!
We had lunch there twice. It was just okay, but still better than the Marketplace on lido for lunch.
Bonsai Sushi
We were given $100 by guest services to spend there because of a horrible experience we had with a guest services agent. The food isn't cheap, but it was better than next door at the other Bonsai restaurant.
Big Chicken by Shaq
AMAZING CHICKEN! Not better than Chik Fil A, but really close in my opinion. Better for breakfast than lunch, but just my opinion.
Onboard Activities
Pixels
We had a private photo session and we were amazed at how good the pictures turned out. I'm recovering from COVID and I'm on a scooter. The photographer asked several times if I needed to rest or if I was good to go. Prices for the pictures are really high, but they spend hours upon hours working on them.
Cloud 9 Spa & Thermal Suites
WAY too small. This should have been bigger, or they need to only allow Spa rooms to be in there. Maybe even limit it to certain Spa rooms.
Guest Services
We had a bad experience with a guest services agent, who basically told my wife she was a liar. Another agent heard the conversation and quickly corrected him and said we were right. Another agent helped us and even followed up with us a couple of times to make sure things were going better.
Mardi Gras Casino
Biggest casino at sea. They have a huge non smoking area and did a good job making sure it stayed non smoking.
Entertainment
Punchliner Comedy Club
Club host, Kim was amazing. I'm on a scooter and she made sure we had seats to every show we wanted to see. We even tipped her on the last night and she almost cried. Gave us big hugs even though she may not have been allowed too...lol
BOLT Ultimate Sea Coaster
They charge $15 a person for this. We stayed on deck 17 and it was SO NOISY!

Ship tip
Bring comfortable shoes because you are going to do a lot of walking. Also, bring a small gift to give your steward on embarkation day. It goes a long way with the service you receive. Also, TIP AT THE END OF THE CRUISE!
