A: A muster station is where you meet in the event the ship is sinking. During embarkment you will watch a video in your cabin then goto your muster station location willbe on your sign N sail card, and check in, and they will show you how to put on a l... ife jacket. This is required and mandatory. but takes about 10 to 15 minutes out of your daySee More

A: On our Royal Caribbean cruise last week, we had a 12pm reservation to board. We showed up about an hour early and had no issues.

Q: Do you have to make reservations for the Guy’ smokehouse or Emerils for dinner like the steakhouse? If not how does it work? Like a regular restaurant where you put your name in and wait?

A: There is an up charge for Emiril’s. the food was amazing but the service was slow. It was the only time it was slow on the cruise for us.
Answered by cheryl007 on March 9, 2022
A: Guy’s BBQ is just like the burgers or Shaq’s chicken - if they’re open, just go to the counter and order, no reservations needed. Note that while Guy’s Smokehouse is complimentary for this first year of sailings, it will eventually be an upcharge lik... e other specialty restaurants on Mardi Gras. We didn’t eat at Emeril’s, but I think it’s the same that no reservations are needed. Emeril’s isn’t complimentary fyi.See More

A: Emerils is an up charge but its so worth it. It is slow but I think that is the point. Enjoy. If you are talking about Guys Pig and Anchor, you do have to wait for a table. We didn’t eat the two times we were on Mardi Gras but did hang out a bit... and that place is always packed. There is an up charge here as well. Can’t wait to experience Carnival Celebration as it looks way different for both venues.See More

Q: I'm cruising on Mardi Gras Feb 26th. Is a COVID test still required or not? I’m getting conflicting info
Thumbs Up

A: Yes. The only thing really changing is masks are optional and if you are boostered you can get the test 72 hours out. If you just went to the website instead of asking on the apps you might get the most up to date information.
Answered by Babsie1963 on February 21, 2022
A: Yes, for vaccinated a PCR or antigen test. I'm not sure which test for unvaccinated.
Answered by MMatlock1 on February 21, 2022
A: have to ask a question. Where are you getting conflicting information? Carnival has been consistent on providing and updating their policy on their site.

A: Go Port is what was recommended to us. I haven’t used them yet, but that’s what most people recommended.
Answered by 1andonlyMissKay on February 18, 2022
A: GoPort was what I used, was $85 no matter how long your cruise was.

Q: Have a question about anytime dining and what exactly that means in terms of being able to eat at some of the other restaurants on ship. We have a steakhouse night reserved already for our anniversary but I’m wanting to try as many of the other places as we can do which are included free with anytime dining and which are not? Please and thank you!

A: Anytime dining is a huge dining area where you go during your specified hours and eat. You can still do the buffet lines or any of the other food joints anytime. You don’t have to do the anytime dining. We always give our hours but actually only go i... n maybe once or twice on a 7 day cruise. This is my opinion and not everyone else’s but I am not keen on what they serve always and with the buffet you can pick and choose. Hope that helps.See More

Q: On the Mardi Gras, for the balcony rooms that are at a bump corner (such as room 14495), are the balconies super windy? Are there any pros/cons to these?
Thumbs Up

A: I’m in 15339 which is part of the bump (extended balcony). Sometimes it gets windy but not too much. There are walls around the balcony that block most of the wind. There’s probably a little more than a normal balcony, but I think the extra space is... worth a little wind.See More
Answered by treygarner on February 16, 2022
A: I was in 15329, at the bump edge. I never noticed excessive wind and I read books out there every day.
Answered by Dshepard66 on February 16, 2022
A: We are considering booking one of the forward facing extended balconies on the Havana deck. So I guess there are plexiglass walls there also to block the wind, especially when underway at sea? Thanks.

Answered by FJcruiZer on April 10, 2022
A: No Mardi Gras party that I’ve seen unless it’s during Mardi Gras. I would assume you can follow in your notifications.
Answered by Babsie1963 on April 10, 2022
A: Probably. Anything that goes on your cruise card you can use on board credit for. You can use it for your gratuities and internet too if you wait until you get on the ship to pay for them. They just put it on your sail and sign card and take money of... f as you spend it until it’s all used.See More

Q: Does anyone know how back to back cruises work with Covid? Does anyone know if it is supposed to say B2B on my cruise docs?
Thumbs Up
0
A: We just got off the MG today from a B2B. Our cruise documents didn’t indicate a B2B but they should merge both bookings. We had our COVID test on the Friday afternoon of the first cruise. We were assigned the 2:00 time and arrived about 15-20 minut... es early. I wouldn’t go to the restaurant any earlier than 8:45 am to wait with other B2B passengers which is what the letter says because we didn’t get off the ship (to them get right back on) until around 10:00 am. Enjoy! I’m so glad we had two weeks on this great ship! Hated leaving!See More

A: Motion sickness meds are a must even if you do not usually get motion sickness. Better to have them and not need them then need them and not have them.
Answered by latinkas1 on March 5, 2022
A: depending on where you go. bug spray. nothing on the ship but some of the islands. also sun glasses
Answered by Leonardw2021 on March 4, 2022
A: It depends what you like to wear. I pack nice capris and tops for dining room. I pack shorts and tshirts for during the day, a bathing suit or two, slides, sandals, pajamas, under clothes. If you get cold a sweater is good. Toiletries (if you aren’t... picky they have shampoo, body wash and hand soap). Electronic chargers. I also pack some magnets for the outside of the door and some magnetic hooks and clips for in the room (the walls are metal), a deodorizer for the bathroom, a book or two, and a cup to put pop or water in because I don’t like the tiny cups.See More
