I will sail again on Royal Caribbean but never again on this particular ship, ever. My expectations of cruising experience are very high as my husband and I have cruised more than 10 times. Never before have we experienced such a poor experience. Staff were nice and accommodating (except our room steward).

Terrible and totally unorganized.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Excellent. Food and restaurants were flawless. Loved it.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
1-On-deck bean bag throw. 2-Pools 3-The on-deck Director had too many sexual undertones to almost everything he said and did. Was so not necessary to have a good time. Get real games and other forms of entertainment instead of men dancing lewd around a lady sitting in a chair. Or men making sexual jirations with their lower body before belly flopping into the pool. Yuck!!! Use your imagination and give us some real entertainment.
Entertainment

Enjoyed the shows but didn’t appreciate the profanity from the performers. Some people are offended by the use of profanity. It is most unprofessional and discourteous.
Children's Programs
Did not have any children with us. It was my husband and I celebrating our 30th year Wedding Anniversary.
Service and Staff

All were polite and efficient except our room steward. His name was John and his service was horrible. He didn’t try to help or appease us in any way. We had a couple of requests and he completely ignored them. No was to change our trash can because I was ill and vomiting in the can. He didn’t. We asked for a trash can liner and he never brought it. We asked him to fill our beverage request and he ignored that and when asked why, he said I just didn’t but if you still want it I can order it now. I suffer from migraines and needed those 4 cans I asked for. But he didn’t do his job. At the end of the trip he asked us to write him a good review or he would get in trouble!!!!!! WHAT!!!!
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
I was disappointed that the ship was so small and old. It didn’t have big shows nightly in a big arena as I’ve grown accustomed to on all our other cruises. Therefore, the shows were sub-par.
Cabin / Stateroom

All as expected for cruising. The room steward could have cleaned up our room better and daily. He didn’t.
Ship tip
Don’t. It’s too small and has very limited classes and doesn’t offer the amenities that the larger ships offered.
It was a long walk from the ship to enter the strip of shops. However it was OK, I guess. Nothing notable. Purchased some souvenirs but nothing interesting or entertaining to see, just places to spend money on stuff, not even a lot of eateries.
Terrible. There were a few tents of merchants selling tee-shirts, coffee mugs, souvenir kind of stuff. Definitely overpriced. There were a few cabs lined up to take cruisers into town (for a fee) which was about a 15/20 minute drive.
This was utterly ridiculous. There was absolutely NO organization. People were forced to stand in this room, just waiting for the Inspectors. This took hours. We couldn’t sit. There were no staff on hand to direct us or ask any questions or give a timeframe as to when we might be allowed to leave the ship. It was horrible and most people did not keep their cool. There was shoutings and complaining and rude and very crude remarks made. Some even tried to push their way to the front of the rope barriers. It was simply awful.
It seems to me that if you are used to larger ships an better accommodation you probably should have stuck with the big ships that you're so used to. It sounds like somebody tried to save a dollar this trip and you got what you paid for . But I've been on that cruise ship and I've never had a problem people were so nice, maybe you were just having a migraine and it made it difficult for you to enjoy.
Fake review. Majesty was awesome so dont give me that BS. it is smaller amd the oldest in fleet and HAS been retired from COVID but was awesome..just seems you should stay at home then. Its a younger generation and the "sexual" content is going to happen on every ship and I have been on like 30 cruises
Number one lesson in cruising.....do your research! Make a point of learning about the different cruise lines, the ports you want to visit, and the ships you might want to sail on. A bit of time doing your homework can save you lots of money and prevent disappointment in the end. Once you've narrowed your choices down to a few different options, compare them. How old are the ships? How big are they? Look at the different deck plans and see what each ship has to offer, as well as what exactly is above and below the cabin you're thinking of booking. The noise level under the disco or the kitchen is probably going to have a different noise level than one under other cabins! Go on line and read reviews and ask LOTS of questions. You lay out a lot of bucks for a cruise and not all cruises are created equal. Next time do your research and you will probably have a much better time. Good luck to you!
Always a good idea to research the ship amenities when booking. We love the smaller ships and prefer a ship without water slides and amusement parks onboard.
Agreed with deboftheseas. If you have cruised as many times as you say, then you should know to do your homework on the age of the ship and keep your expectations I'm check for your choice. I find that cruiselines are taking their "star" staff to their newer and larger ships.
