Embarkation

A little waiting, but very an overall smooth process being it was Majesty’s first sailing out of New Orleans.

Food and Dining

The main dining room was spectacular! Many different choices to choose from. Everything was sooo good. The french onion soup was soooo good and offered every night. The New York Strip that is offered every night was cooked to perfection and super tender. Lobster night was the 2nd formal night (day 6). You can order as many as you want. Our wait staff, Carlos and Mia went above and beyond. All of the staff we encountered in the Windjammer buffet were phenomenal. There were two women from Indonesia (one of whom was names Valentina, can’t remeber the other one’s name), but they were super nice and talked to us and would play with our 1 year old daughter as well as our 3 year old son. Immediately the wait staff would offer to go get us something to drink or a high chair for our 1 year old, among other things. Plenty of selections to choose from at the buffet. Everything was always super fresh and very good! Always kept clean as well.

Service and Staff

Once again as mentioned above, the dining room staff was phenomenal. Windjammer buffet staff went above and beyond and were super nice. Our room steward, Marlon had our room spotless and made up nice twice a day. Every single staff member we encountered were super nice and helpful!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
For an older ship, the cleanliness was impeccable. Very clean and very well maintained. Being an older ship, the design/layout was a little different, but very easy to navigate. Really hard to even tell she is 28 years old! Overall a great ship and already planning to sail on her again!
Cabin / Stateroom

The room was small, but worked for us. It was myself, my husband and our 3 and 1 year old. The window was a great size and my kids loved sitting in it. We had a bed against the window, a pull down on the bottom. Another bed against the wall and an upper pullman(we didn’t use). At night we would put the bed that was against the wall onside of the lower pullman where we would have all 3 beds together, which made for a fun little slumber party for the kids. We had enough room to put our 1 year olds pack n play out too for her to sleep in. The temperature of our room was great. The bathroom was small. The room and bathroom being small is to be expected on cruise ships. Only in the room to get ready and sleep for the most part. It was kind of loud when pulling into port. Overall though the room was great for me and my family.
The embarkation process was super easy. We had to be out of the stateroom at 8am. We had breakfast before making our way to a lounge where we waited for our luggage tag number to be called to disembark. From the time we disembarked, got our luggage and made our way through customs and out waiting for our ride, was overall maybe 10 minutes at most. Super smooth process.
@CruiseMom5– yes, there were 2 formal nights. I wore a knee high dress one night and dressy pants and dressy shirt for the next. It’s all your preference how dressy you want to get. They aren’t strict about how you are dressed.
