Review summary

I definitely will do better research before I book another cruise. I am surprised the Royal Caribean has such an old, dirty boat. They barely have their name on the exterior of the ship. It is very small at at the bottom. Otherwise the ship is solid white. I think they are embarrassed of it.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The wait staff was great! The food was good. They were accommodating about food allergies. The weird thing was how little fish there was on the menu.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
The ship seemed understaffed. Some activities are marked "unstaffed" I think. This meant there was no organization and the event or game likely was not going to take place... This ship is small and there very aren't that many activities for the day at sea. We found ourselves searching for something to do and at times, not finding much.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
I feel like the staff tries hard to make up for the age of the ship. They are facing an uphill battle.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
Overall, the ship felt dirty. Maybe it was the old carpet? Maybe it was the constant hand prints on everything? Maybe it was the mildew stained grout in the old showers?

Cabin / Stateroom

This was my 9th cruise. (Carnival, Celebrity, Royal Caribean, and Disney) and this was the ugliest state room I have seen. The ship is in desparate need of refurbishment or retirement.

Ship tip

Watch out! Everything on this ship costs extra!

Pearl Island excursion was nice. Beautiful island and nice seating and swimming area. My only complaints are that they had ran out of water and lemonade before our group even arrived. The only choice left was tea. Also, they shut the water off to the showers and bathrooms before we even left. Therefore, the kids could not rinse the salt water and sand off. Also, grandma went to the bathroom and had to leave with soap on her hands!

Cococay (Cruise Line's Private Island)

3 out of 5
This Island is well laid out and beautiful. But, get ready to spend some cash! Even the inflatables in the ocean cost extra! ($22 per child). The shopping area is really pricey too.

They are dry docking it in January 2018 and fixing it up... changing out the bearing in the azipod, then in March or April it goes to Tampa and enchantment is coming into Port Canaveral..
