Without a doubt one of the worst Cruse Ships I have sailed on. The only highlight of this cruse was when I debarked. I would not recommend this ship to anyone for any type of cruse.
Majesty of the Seas Cruise Review to Caribbean - Bahamas
On the dozen or more cruises, I have been on I rate this cruise on a scale of 1-10, 10 being the highest score I would rate the Royal Carribean Majesty of the Seas a qualified (2). For anyone reading this comment, you would be better off saving your money and put it towards another cruise line other than Royal Carribean. I can only hope that the other larger ships in their fleet are better equipped and well staffed to take care of the needs of their guest and I would highly recommend that you consider selecting another ship rather than book your cruise on the Majesty of the Seas.
Embarkation
1 out of 5
The ship was several hours late in departing. Embarkation check was average. Many guests with families had to book a local motel room with a pool to keep their kids occupied until they were able to board the ship.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
The food was way below standards and quality based on other cruise ships that I have traveled on. The wait time for meals to be served in the dining room was excessive and the staff was not very responsive to needs of their guest. On the Pool deck, very few waiters were present to serve the needs of the guests. It seemed like everything shut down after 11:00 pm and there were no all night cafes to have a cup of coffee until the Dining Room or Buffet opened at 7:00 am. Johnny Rocket Resturant was not used due to the cover charge of 6.50 per person. The quality of the Mixed drinks for the price paid was at best poor to sub-standard.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
I Did not participate in any onboard activities. There were no activities that appealed to me.

Service and Staff
3 out of 5
The Dining room staff was a little above average. Not great but just a little above average. They spoke and understood English well however they would not listen to what their guest was ordering and had to go back several times to complete the order. Some of the bartenders at the pool deck need more training in how to mix and serve drinks properly. I expect a little more professionalism than that which was displayed by some of the bartenders and above all quality when I pay for a drink. Amateurs at best.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
This was one of the oldest ships that need to be retired from the fleet. The signs of aging were apparent almost every where you went on this ship. The design of the ship made it very difficult for those guest having mobility problems to have to walk from the front of the ship to the back of the ship for dining or entertainment during the entire cruise, The elevators or Lifts were slow and cumbersome and using the stairs for some was not an option.
Cabin / Stateroom
1 out of 5
This was one of the smallest and un-equipped staterooms I have ever stayed in. The bed was extremely hard and very hard to get in and out of due to the cabin size. Each guest had to crawl over one another just to get in bed. We had to open our suitcase and push it under the bed just to have room to get our clothes out of and be able to walk in the room. The water pressure was so low in our cabin that it was difficult to even take a shower, for 2 days there was little or no hot water. The cabin steward was great, but the accommodations for the price I paid were as bad as they come. There were only one small chair and no place to store your luggage, Little or no place to hang or even store your clothes.
Ship tip
Please, whatever you do. Book another cruise on another ship.
The wife and I have been on the Majesty 3 times and honestly loved the ship, crew, and trip. If I had anything negative to say, it would be the bed, but I sleep on a really nice bed at home that most places can't match. I've spoken to a lot of people who cruise 4 or more times a year and the majority say stay with the smaller ships unless you have children.
Well we've been on 9 cruises. every one was on Royal Caribbean. we've been on retired sovereign of the seas, monarch or the seas. the small ships. been on Freedom of the seas 3 times. the only bad experience we've ever had was on enchantment of the seas. We complained about it, they made it right. if you had a bad experience then I'd talk to the company if this is an actual true review
I am finding that Royal Caribbean does offer that "quality service" fleet wide like they used to. it appears that they have transferred the best staff to the large oasis fleet ships and the smaller ships are suffering. Not the overall elite line they used to be.
If you are looking for the WOW factor, spend the extra money and go on the oasis class ship. For one of the oldest ships in the fleet, it is great for short get always with less people.
Guess people have to complain bout something these days. SMH
Majesty was our first cruise last August. This is not the experience we had at all. We had an amazing time. I was judging pretty hard too because I didn't even want to go.
