Review summary

Overall, we had a good time on our cruise. The ship is older and smaller, although it has been refurbished; our last cruise was on Oasis of the Seas.  We had an outside cabin with a  window directly on the promenade deck, where people could sit directly under our window. When we booked the cruise, we were advised it had an obstructed view, this was not obstructed in my opinion, just no privacy. The cabin and bathroom were extremely small and my husband and I would constantly bump into each other. During the cruise, there was problems with the air conditioning in our cabin and throughout the ship. The ship was going full steam, so we don't know if that took away from providing air conditioning. It was very warm in our cabin, theatre, dining room and other common areas. We cruised in June, so it was very noticeable. We did advise our cabin steward. There was entertainment; however, between dinner seating's there wasn't much in the way of entertainment. We felt that there should have been bands in the lounges at this time; however, they had one band play at a time and usually in the Centrum. They had a DJ and dance party late in the evening (around 11:00). Our excursion in Key West was fun and we enjoyed our trolly ride. We didn't enjoy the food in the Windjammer or the pizza place. We do not usually eat at buffets; however, it was the only place to eat during the day. Overall, we had a good time and will consider cruising with Royal Caribbean again.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
We had late seating for dinner (9:00); which is late for us. The waiter and assistant waiter were freindly and efficient. The food quality was good; however, not as good as we have had on previous ships. We didn't enjoy the food at the Windjammer of Pizza place.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We would have enjoyed playing Bingo; however, the ticket prices are extremely high. It was $32.00 for 1 ticket. Once people found out how much, they turned and walked away.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We attended all of the shows and the shows we enjoyed the most were the comedian and a Ballroom Dance Group from Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
We really enjoyed the bartenders in the Boleros Lounge. They were very friendly.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
This is an older ship and has been refurbished. We were pleased with the decor.

Cabin / Stateroom

Very small. The counter was 1/2 taken up by sodas and snacks from the cruise line to buy.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas
