Review summary

We have been on about 25 cruises on various cruise lines. We would rank Princess in the middle of the pack. Unfortunately, the food on this trip was very disappointing. We signed up for Premium Plus with unlimited specialty restaurants and we were very unimpressed in general. The Catch and the Alfredos were the exceptions. We had consistent good food there and the service was good as well. The Crowne's food was very mediocre, and Harmony tasted like fast food Chinese to us. Honestly, if we would have tried the restaurants before buying the package we wouldn't have bought the package. The ship is very pretty and clean. The layout is very compartmentalized, and many spaces are small (e.g. public bathrooms, hallways, staircases, etc.). We would have liked the buffet to be more of an open floor plan, so you could see all the choices at once, instead of walking up and down different hallways.

Main dining was okay. Specialty was very disappointing. Pool burgers and tacos were great. Room service was super quick and good.

Ship Quality

The ship is pretty and is kept very clean. The layout is very compartmentalized. Everything from the individual bars around the plaza to the buffet seem to be in sections that keep people corralled. Having to walk down individual hallways to see what today's buffet offerings are and access a complete meal is frustrating to say the least. I am able bodied, but I can imagine how difficult that might be for a disabled person. The track design is also very odd. Why was it designed to have to go through pickle ball court (opening and shutting gates) to get a lap in? I feel like I am being nit-picky, but after 11 days on a ship there are certain things that you just ask yourself "I wonder why they made that decision?". Thanks!
