Pretty good overall. I think 2 week trips might be my limit ( although I’m booked for a month long one 🤷♀️). Plus. Prefer not too many days at sea in a row.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
We got changed from 12.30 to 3pm.
Earlier cruises we got straight through ok. Probably 45 mins.
The Jan 2023 one was pretty slow. Holdups in customers etc meant we had to wait upstairs in the checkin area until they were free downstairs
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
I loved the food. If I’m not cooking or cleaning - I’m fine.
On the first cruise we went to SUR LA MER -and HARMONY. Both fine but after we left I realised that it wasn’t worth the money to go again. Being vegetarian- my choices were VERY limited. The entire and main was practically identical
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Look I’m not generally someone seeking something to do. Happy with a cuppa and to listen to the musicians. But I did join the pop up choir which turned out to be fun. Princess LIVE is a great area for a lot of different activities
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Loved the theatre show FANTASTIC JOURNEY.
ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS…
Really enjoyed the house band MERIDIAN. ALWAYS FAB
And the guitarist/ singer CAMERON was a great entertainer and a bit of a crackup.
We had a pianist, string duo and a solo guitarist also. All great
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
All three cruises we had fabulous room stewards.. ❤️❤️❤️
99% of restaurant stewards and assistant managers were amazing
Bar staff pretty good. But I found time and time again , they would walk right past me - look at the table and keep walking. They would ask people sitting next to BUT NOT ME. .
I told friends and they didn’t believe me until they saw it for themselves - then THEY got ignored too. Probably because they were sitting
Ship Quality

I find the layout with the circular atrium to be confusing..
Cleanliness was OUTSTANDING
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
First aft cabin !
first cruise was E311 … standard balcony
R214 … mini suite
B736. Premium Delux balcony.
Obviously more room on the mini suite - but tiny balcony
B736 had an enormous balcony and the BEST view
Went to Dunedin the first time. Did the castle etc. next two, just a wander around port Chalmers which puts on markets. Has some nice shops. Nice church under repair and get views
2nd visit in a row.. bus to town again. Did the museum last time and markets etc. did a town wander… and a long waterside walk looking for penguins 🐧.
Markets and lunch again. All good. Weather great
3rd time. A favourite place. Ferry to Devonport- last time Waihiki …
Both fabulous and very warm. Just lovely to potter around. Paddle on the beach. Have lunch. And a few steps only from the ship
