Review summary

Nice cruise but with covid always hanging over your head made it a bit difficult. Have done Tasmania 3 times and can’t get enough of it, such a beautiful place and many things to do.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Embarkation was terrible, had to wait 4 hours before we could board due to the previous cruise from New Zealand coming back with so many covid cases on board. The ship had to be deep cleaned, we eventually set sail at 8pm.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food and drink was good but no real wow factor, the staff were good and friendly.

Concerto Dining Room

5 out of 5

The concerto dining room very nice and excellent wait staff, food very nice anddelicious. My husband ate 2 cream brûlée’s for desert most nights, they are hisfavourite on princess cruises.

International Café

5 out of 5

Great place to sit and unwind, look out the windows and watch the waves or sitand listen to a band play near by. Great coffee and tea and yummy bites to haveas well. Always busy and sometimes seating hard to get as there is a couple of barsnear by.

Crown Grill Bar

5 out of 5

Crown bar and grill, could not fault this restaurant at all. Staff were amazing aswell as the food. Seating well appointed.

The SeaWalk

The sea walk is an experience everyone should try. It’s on deck 16 near the pool.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All staff were pretty good under the circumstances with covid, all wore masks and some wore gloves as well. Very attentive to your needs.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
As it was my second time on this ship it’s still pretty big and lots of walking to get to certain places, keeps you fit. Our cabin was mid Aft on deck 10, easy to get to the market place, wake view bar and swimming pool.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very nice balcony cabin on deck 10, small but comfortable and very clean. No extras this cruise, like body cream, note paper or pen on desk and no face masks either. No chocolates on pillow at night either or towel animals. But I guess times are changing with the current situation.

Ship tip

Bring your Glen 20, your own wipes, and your own face masks. Follow the Covid guidelines the captain sets out on a daily basis and stay safe the best you can and enjoy your cruise to the fullest.

Ports of call

Hobart, Tasmania, Australia

5 out of 5
Hobart a lovely city. You can do as much as you like or as little as you want. But don’t forget to visit Muirs by the dock for some great fish and chips and a great coffee plus a tasty ice cream.

Eden, Australia

CRUISE GREAT OYSTER BAY & FREYCINET PENINSULA

5 out of 5
This place was visited by our cruise ship only, you could not get off just cruising. Beautiful white sand.

Port Arthur, Tasmania, Australia

A lovey spot with so much history and a beautiful garden to visit plus a good souvenir shop and snack shop too if your feeling a pit peckish.

Melbourne, Australia

Very good and well organised, bags were waiting at the baggage terminal waiting to be collected when we got off.

Sadly covid is the new normal now, we have to learn to adapt. Glad you had a good cruise :)
