What a disappointment. Dining is a BIG part of cruising and Princess failed miserably on this cruise from 3-12-2022 to 3-19-2022. Phones at the front desk and Housekeeping were never answered, so you had to truck on down and wait in line to get questions answered. On 2 consecutive days our room was not serviced until after 2:30pm. REALLY????

Food and Dining
1 out of 5
1st night in main dining room, my wife and i got our salads at different times and even our main courses were brought several minutes apart. My wife and to flag down someone to ask for a 2nd glass of wine, and it was brought to her as we were having desert! A few mornings later, we are in the dining room and I order an omellete.......nothing special, just a cheese omellete, with bacon and hash browns on the side. After about 35 minutes they brought the omellete.....and about 7 minutes later brought the bacon and the hash browns were delivered about 6-7 minutes after that, and they were cold! Every meal we had in the main dining room (breakfast, lunch and dinners) were very slow, very un-organized and if you needed a refill on any drink, forget it......it would get to your table 15-20 minutes later! We decided to try the pool grill today for lunch, and after waiting 35 minutes for a cheeseburger and a couple of the advertised tacos, they even got that order wrong! I have tried twice to contact the front desk and housekeeping for a few very simple things and never got thru to either.....just a recording saying they were helping other passengers and would get to us in just a few minutes. After waiting for 35 minutes, I just hung up. The ONLY dining venue that was efficient, professional and the food was actually VERY good, was Alfredo's the pizza place. Nicola, the manager was VERY hands-on and his staff and the folks doing the cooking were grest!! Overall, this has to be the absolute worst cruise we have ever been on, and there are only 2,261 passengers on a ship that can hold over 3,800. Everyone seems to be over-whelmed and confused and in many cases even in-different. Princess......you need to do a whole LOT of corrections and improvements REALLY FAST!!!!!
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Lots to choose from, but weather on some days did not cooperate. Not Princess's fault.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Good shows, very professional entertainers. The one area of this cruise that was ABOVE average!
Service and Staff

Very slow, very over-whelmed, very confused and seemed like some of them could care less!!
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Clean, but design was confusing. You had to go a weird way to get to the Allegra Dining room.
Cabin / Stateroom

Everything was ok....
Ship tip
Go on another ship. Stay away from the Majestic Princess!!
We sailed on the Majestic last Sept and has excellent service at the Crown Grill and in the dining room every night but one. We asked for the same waiter (Daniel) each night because he was awesome. Only one night did they not grant our request and we had a good waiter but the assistant waiter was extremely rude and made faces. Other then that we had perfect dining experiences which included the buffet, room service and the international cafe.
We like princess and travel all the time on them
We like the majestic and had a great team on it in all parts of the ship
Everything was great service and fast
I think he has a legitimate gripe about receiving your drinks and meals so far apart from each other. The buffet may have been better for your omelette, as you can choose your sides while your main is cooking.
I like the majestic, but the specialty dining at the Italian and Chinese restaurants were not that good.
Don’t give up on Princess, we are going in October and hope that things are better.
Aft dining is that way on many ships due to the way the kitchen is designed to serve the two dining rooms, easy to get to once you understand that there in no straight path there. Not a big deal for 99+% of the diners, but always there is someone who gripes at the design every night.
Thanks for the review. It sounds like cruising isn’t for you, or at least during Spring Break and a pandemic. Many cruise lines are struggling with staffing issues due to the quick increase in passenger counts for Spring Break.
