Review summary

Hey, it’s a cruise. I’ve got nothing to complain about. It gives me the ultimate restful experience. Overall, it is absolutely great to be back at sea and aboard Princess Cruises. You meet the nicest people, are treated like royalty, and yet can find the solitude that settles the mind and nourishes the soul.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Fast and efficient. As long as your documents are in order there is no delay in boarding.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Except for the tacos at the burger station, the food was well prepared, tasty, and plentiful. The tacos? The street tacos were served in a hard corn tortilla rather than the easier to handle flour variety, made for a messy, one time experience. But that was my only complaint.

Alfredo's Pizzeria

5 out of 5

Not just the best pizza at sea, but arguably the best on land as well.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I enjoyed everything I did, from Sunday NFL on the Jumbotron, to lounging in the conservatory, refreshing in the pool and jacuzzis, line dancing ( yes, us older folks don’t mind kicking up our heels some), shows in the theater, and my favorite pastime at sea…watching the sea where we witnessed porpoises and whales amongst the typical creatures of the sea and harbors. If they were to replace the lounges in the conservatory with those typically found in the Sanctuary on other ships, this area would be a home run.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I generally have lower expectations aboard ship for entertainers, but the Majesty orchestra is magnificent! They sound much bigger and fuller than they are and we’re at the top of entertainment staff.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Excellent! The cruise industry’s greatest resource is the people, and this cruise was no exception. Stateroom staff does a most excellent job and are most attentive. They all are masked, however, all the time, so I could never pick them out of a lineup…but it is what it is.

Cabin / Stateroom

Interior. Just big enough traveling solo to dress and sleep. Very comfortable, clean and mostly quiet. The last night which this room obviously tucked in to a crew work area, there were some phantom noises I attributed to movement of luggage in preparation for disembarkation…

Ports of call

Did early walk off with my luggage and flew through disembarkation…
