Review summary

This was our second cruise, our first was on the Golden Princess in an inside room.... which I think would have been fine if it were just the 2 of us. But with the kids oh I so loved the balcony and the space that came with the mini suite. We are intending on going on another cruise in 2 years time. The kids club staff were utterly incredible with our little ones especially our moderately autistic son. Unfortunately just like the Golden Princess 2 years earlier Christmas was a let down, no christmas crackers at the table, no real christmas food..... nothing that made it seem any different to any other day. So we are thinking of going in January next time and have Christmas at home. I loved the ship and it truly was an amazing holiday yet again and the whole family can't wait to cruise again.

Embarkation

Very easy

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Most nights you could rave about the food, but one or two nights it was like the normal chefs all got the night off at the same time.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The family loved the pools.... I believe this is the real reason my son ejoys going on cruises. Was a pity that the undercover pools were not available so to allow the kids to go swimming at midday.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We saw the juggler/ magician that was excellent and another night we got to see the expat NZ comedian and we was awesome also.

Children's Programs

Oh those ladies were just angels. My daughter (3yrs) is highly anxious but stayed most visits happily (which is pretty impressive) and our son (7yrs) is moderately autistic and loved it. The ladies in the kid's club were massively accommodating and were very very understanding.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff were utterly amazing most of the time..... not one rude comment about our son's behaviour and were amazing as he would says their alphabet from which ever country they were from.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I was actually dreading being asked to use antibacterial gel as I believe they cause more illness. I was really happy to see the wash stations instead this time (We were on the Golden last time 2 years ago)

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
I loved the room and the space. One thing was a tiny disappointing and that is the grout in the shower was rather dirty.

Ship tip

I need to learn to pack less.... and empty out the bags sooner as it was much nicer after the bags were stored under the bed.

Ports of call

Tauranga, New Zealand

Had an early Christmas day with family.

Cruise Fjordland National Park

Oh my goodness we had the best weather and I utterly loved the scenery and still loving my photos.

Hobart, Tasmania, Australia

We went to a little township but the wild life sanctuary first it was costly but the sanctuary was super amazing and the kids loved it.

Melbourne, Australia

5 out of 5
We got to catch up with family and have lunch with them.

Sydney, Australia

This was also disembarkation. We would have preferred a round trip and hoping for a round trip next time as the flight back was no where near as fun as the cruise. My son loved going up the Sydney tower for lunch and the food was very nice but the price also reflected that.

Disembarkation

Very easy to disembark.

Traveler Photos

Traveler Photos of Majestic Princess Cruise - Kid's Talent show my 2 little ones just rocked it :-) - alphabet song 3 languages and my son hopped on the piano. We learnt he is very good at playing by ear. Just stunning Fjordland National Park Christmas with Santa
