Had a great time! It was our first cruise so I have nothing to compare it to! Thought staff, drinks, food and ship were fantastic! Shows were good! Really enjoyed the quest and the comedy shows. Went to Giovanni’s twice! Ask for Louie if you go, he did an amazing job!

Will not take royal again. Spoke to staff on boat about issues. Was address with chicks or covered strawberries. Do not like covered strawberries. Did not like how my complaint was handled on the boat and my complaint on survey when got home was not addressed. Want a call to have this addressed 6822325895 and want money back due to way was treated.

1 excursion was changed without notice or approval. Caught the flu onboard. My sister was quarantined to the room. Overall, the most disappointing experience ever.

Went with a group... by mj4gold

Sail date: /
Ship: Liberty of the Seas

Went with a group of 16, ages 1 to 59 most had a good time some got various illnesses from flu like symptoms to sore throats. I think that is typical for ship with over 6,000 on board. Ship was clean, food was average and service was good for the most part. My wife won a cruise for the December slot tournament on the navigator of the seas 4 night.so we are going to go. I don't think that I will ever go on ship again with that many people. I personally prefer the smaller ships less people. There's alot to do on the liberty it's a little bit pricey for most people I think.

Great Western Caribbean Cruise by Huffdaddi

First time on RCL and Liberty of the Seas. Had a great time and would recommend to everyone. Purchase the KEY! We will travel on RCL again. We are spoiled for balcony rooms now that we have been in them a couple times.

Had a great time on Liberty of the Seas. Food was good, entertainment was top notch. All employees were friendly and enjoyed it all. Took VIP tour through Shipmate, had an incredible time in Roatan. Kevin was friendly, knowledgeable and took us to places that big tour groups wouldn't go. Went to sloth and monkey zoo and Mangrove. Plus other sights. Would recommend to all friends.

Relaxation in the Western Caribbean by jbquinn310

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We weren't prepared for the length of time to travel from Bush Inernational to Galveston, as traffic was a huge issue, both directions. Embarkation was delayed by hours, but the cruise was great. Marsha in the port terminal was our saving grace. My husband was having issues with hunger and thirst as we were not prepared for the delay. She brought him water and a snack which made him able to tolerate the wait. Please consider that possibility. We were not prepared as we are the first to board - now we know better.

Our best cruise ever!!!! by StanandShirley

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Liberty of the Seas is fantastic! We loved visiting the three ports and the days at sea. There was not enough time to catch all the shows and activities. We want to go again to finish seeing and doing everything. We were also overly impressed with all staff members onboard. We felt right at home from the start. We did eat too much of the delicious food though. Loved it from start to finish.

Loved the variety on the... by Tara1988

Sail date: /
Ship: Liberty of the Seas

Loved the variety on the ship for activities. They had several shows through the cruise, about 2 shows per night. A regular show and then a interactive show. The interactive show you did not have to be front and center but participation in some form was fun. The food was amazing in the main dining. We only did windjammer for some breakfast and lunch but never dinner. The pool was nice but was crowded and sometimes quite loud, depending, on sea days if you didn't get there by noon. The adult area was nice and much quieter. I do however which the adult area was like 2 tier because seats ran out and you were forced to go up to and burn or go where it is loud. The last 2 days we were hardly at the pool. Having sprinkles was nice. Loved being able to grab a cone and be on a lounge chair while reading a book, looking o. The ocean and eating my cone. However, I wish there was 2. I have no idea where they would put it though..... The actual pools where never too crowded just seating was. State room was good. Like having the window to look out onto the promenade. Didn't really use it till the last 2 days though. Beds were good. Not overall crazy not want to get out of bed comfy but not hard as a rock. I've slept on alot worse beds. Loved having the flow rider and rockwall to try. Excursions: we're great but I would book off royal for Jamaica if you go to dunns falls. The fall was great but everything after was kind of a waste. One negative thing I can say in general cruising I hate gratuities. I wish everyone was just staff or at least everyone is just staff minus our room attendant, waiter and waiter assistance. We will definitely be personally handing out gratuities next time. Well I think that is it. Hope this was helpful! The only reason I gave a 4 star was because of the pool stuff. If I could do a half it would be 4.5 instead of 4.

Trip got off to a... by KofiNaija

Sail date: /
Ship: Liberty of the Seas

Trip got off to a rocky start with a 3 hour embarkation delay and a check in line winding down the sidewalk. The new information to me was the two weeks sandwiching Easter are Spring break in Mexico, so there were 3000 foreign passport holders disembarking. Thus when I arrived at 1:30, people were still exiting customs from the previous sailing. Fortunately it was a nice day. RCCL set up water stations outside the terminal and most people remained in good spirits. There were 1700 foreign passport holders on my sailing. The captain says it's usually 5%. My previous sailings on Liberty were snooze cruises. This sailing was the best ever. Very vibrant. Boleros was packed every night with all ages and cultures and an excellent band. The night club at Olive or Twist was great. On prior cruises it died around 1230. On this sailing they partied late. Very late.. Again with plenty of people with grey hair dancing alongside those of college age. The DJ hit it out the park. He was one of the best on RCCL. Ken, the Diamond Lounge concierge was the best I encountered. On day one he greeted everyone upon entering and then walked the entire room passing out Easter candy. Ahead of the tender, he made sure everyone had a good tender time. He was present all week and worked the entire room. Royals food has really gotten better. I typically order a red meat and the veggie Indian in the MDR. The Indian is always quite tasty. A consistent MDR winner is the lamb shank. Liberty also does a great job with its grilled fish entrees. Delicate flavor and not overcooked. The buffet has some standing items alongside rotating dishes. A standard item I enjoyed at night was the fried fish. Lunch in the buffet was interesting as the Mexicans are late eaters. At noon, the buffet would be empty. It peaked out around 2pm. Not a fan of burgers in buffet. They have the best crunchy hot dogs around. The burger in MDR is delicious. Liberty has also stepped up its game on the complimentary coffee and its pizza. Shows are standard. No real standouts. Some people really liked Saturday Night Fever. Service throughout the ship was superb. All the bartenders were excellent and the staff was willing to engage and share their stories once they found you had a true interest. Disembarkation was smooth. Self assist started at 7:15. Was out if terminal at 7:30. Texas alcohol agents were out. I just said I didn't have alcohol and never stopped walking. Changes of note, they did not deliver any alcohol to cabins. You pick up all alcohol at the promenade shop between 6am-8am on disembarkation morning. They said kids were taking booze left outside cabins with do not disturb signs. Also they have devalued top tier status. Diamonds no longer have express security lines. You have to pay for that with The Key. And at the check in desk, all top tiers are in a single line. It still moved quickly. All in all this was the best Liberty sailing. If one wants a vibrant ship from Galveston, I would suggest booking around the same time.

Cruise was great, weather not so much by jdk944

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Liberty of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We had two other couples join us. They had limited cruising experience. For 1, was her first time. Overall we had a good experience on the Liberty. Had been several years since we had been on RCCL. Like the Promenade Idea. Pizza was better than those we have had on Carnival. Night shows we went to, which were several, where very good to EXCEPTIONAL!! We have NEVER been on a bad cruise. Some better than others. In addition, we cruise based on the best deals for us, not on a particular cruise line. We have been on Carnival, Holland America, Norwegian, Princess and RCCL. We certainly will consider RCCL again but nothing we experienced would now make it our "cruise line" of choice.
