Review summary

We had a great time as a family - again there were some positives. But I am old enough to remember when a cruise was a good value for your money. You paid one price and all was free. Now it is very obvious they are about their bottom line and not for the customer. Until RC can guarantee better food and accommodations we will not be doing RC.

MDR - bland, not good quality food. Windjammer - just awful - crowds of people, nothing tasted good. We saw them watering down the lemonade for goodness sake

Musicians were fabulous - hosts for game shows were great - NYE party and 70's party was awesome. In the Air show - very bizarre.

VERY outdated cabin, do not think for one minute a pull down bed is feasible for an adult child. It's like they are going to make it so uncomfortable the next time you will spring for an extra room or pay more for a suite. Our daughter ended up sleeping on the couch. The shower is VERY small - if you are claustrophobic get ready to bath in the sink.

Ship tip

We have cancelled our next cruise with RC because of the food alone - again they offer "free dining" but it is awful - again you have to wonder if they just want you to again upgrade to their premium dining which is very costly. The free pizza was ok - but you do get tired of pizza. The only decent meal was Johnny Rockets and we had to pay for that. Also the only snacks available on the ship were in the general store and consisted of some skittles, pringles and mainly alcohol.. So take lots of snack and your own soft drinks.
