It was ok for a few days but I would not sail Liberty again possibly until she is renovated or offering longer cruises
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was simple and fast, boarded the ship within 20 minutes of arrival
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Food took over an hour in the MDR and was cold, Sabor and Giovanni's Table both had long wait times for food ( with only a few people dining) Sabor was so bad we got a refund and went to the Windjammer. Windjammer had the best food but still lacked any flavor, not what we are used to from Royal.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Pools were clean and did not feel over crowded on most days
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Entertainment is great on board, shows were entertaining and casts were wonderful.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Not the kind of service we are used to from Royal, I dont usualy do short cruises so that might be the difference but the service was just ok. Considering they are doing less work ( dining room was only 1/4 full) the personal feel of service was not there.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Royal always keeps a clean ship and Liberty has a great layout.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Small but clean
Ship tip
Save money on specialty dining and stick with the Windjammer (food was not good)
I sailed on Liberty of the seas last June and had a fantastic time. The food was good and the service was excellent. The ship is in good condition considering her age. Thanks for sharing.
We sailed this ship once with our kids. That cruise was junk. Or kids slipped and fell on the pool deck because there was melted ice cream everywhere from a leaky machine, the menus and guides were all wrong each day through the ship. Crew wouldn't stop to give you the time of day.
We actually wound up down in the head manager of hospitality's office explaining all of our situations to her and even she was shocked at the experience we had and we wound up getting a good portion of our cruise fare refunded.
I love royal but I will never step foot on that ship ever again.
