Review summary

Good (7.5/10) first cruise with our kids. This was mostly a "will they like this and will/won't they get sea sick?" We were disappointed in the food- as we really enjoyed everything we ate when we cruised in 2019- but the cocktails in the Suite Lounge made up for it! The Grand Suite was perfect for our family and gave us all the room we needed. This boat is due for a major refresh- it is worn!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We were in a suite, so it was very easy to get on the ship and not have to wait in any lines!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
MDR was not so great, neither was specialty dining. Buffet actually was better than MDR

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The kids loved the Adventure Ocean and our oldest loved the rock climbing. They both liked the Splashaway Bay, but said the water was very cold. They enjoyed the family hot tubs adjacent to Splashaway Bay

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We only saw the ice skating show and it was excellent!

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Our kids asked when "kids club" was open so they could go!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Jayson and Ryan in the Suite Lounge were great! Helped us with some MDR issues as well as getting the kids some specialty drinks. John Philip was our room steward and he was excellent as well!

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
This ship is well worn. Our grand suite was nice, but really needs some repair/refresh. The underframe for the sofa was disgusting, so we were extra careful to not let the kids drop anything under there. The rest of the boat was dated, but functionable. I hope it gets refurbished soon!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We were in a Grand Suite, the extra bathroom was nice and JP left the sofa converted to a bed the whole time. There was still plenty of room even with both beds "out"

Ship tip

You trade price for age, so if you want a new ship with all the bells and whistles, this is not your boat.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

3 out of 5
We did the Children's Museum on disembarkation day. It was fine- not far from the Port and the kids liked it.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

3 out of 5
The tram around the island was fine, but the driver didn't tell us anything about the stops or what other things we could do on the island. We totally missed playing in Splashaway Bay

Nassau, Bahamas

2 out of 5
The agressivness of the taxi drivers/tour operators is off putting and didn't make me excited to be on the island. The construction is a mess and nothing is signed very well for you to get out of the docking area and into the "main drag." We will not pick a boat with this stop again.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Grand Suite guests had a very easy time getting off the boat and our luggage was already waiting for us. I wish the Port had Global Entry kiosks to expedite the process further.
